The 'Gathering' was easy to find from above, where else in Kent are you ever going to find four Rotorways in one place? Nick and I made six and after a while we were joined by the Exec90 of Peter Scheiwiller, resplendent in his Swiss mountain rescue livery. Many photos were taken for posterity and a warm wel - come from Kevin with refreshments laid on for all atten - dees. The chance to swap experiences and advice was great and hopefully we can do it all again and maybe even increase From left to right: Peter Scheiwiller, Iain Brown, Nick Beehoo, Roderick Snell, the numbers. Paul Vaughan, Kevin Longhurst and John White (author of this piece). Our trip culminated with a three ship formation back to St Farm over flying the eastern Essex countryside en route. Personal distance travelled for this trip 455 miles, not bad for a 'toy' helicopter as some would have it described!!! A big thanks to all who made this possible ( you know who you are!) As I write G-WHOO is having her annual and being upgraded to the cog belt drive system, eliminating the oil leaks . It was really encouraging to see the enthusiasm generated and great to know there are several pilots undergoing their type rating conversion to type. All this and the recent changes at Rotorway HQ make for a promising future. Nick Beehoo with GNJBA
