TheNick local choice GUYAT for the WardT ■ Keeping council tax low for local residents by making sure the council is run efficiently. ■ A promise of action for the people of , Hatton, Langton-by-Wragby, , and Wragby. ■ A man of principle who will represent our community without fear or favour.

Dear Resident, This is your chance to make a difference! The current elections are for our Member of Parliament and the person who will represent us locally. I am standing for election as our District Councillor on the District Council. Wragby and its surrounding villages are at an important crossroads in and I do not believe that this is fully appreciated in the corridors where important decisions are made. Last year the lack of consultation and organisation during the road works was an example of this lack of concern. Beckering, just down the road, and now live Until recently I lived in Holton-cum- in Ranby. Most of my career was in the City of , looking after peoples’ money and advising companies on their plans and helping them raise money for expansion. I used to live in Huntingdonshire, where I was both a District and County Councillor. For three years I was the Deputy Leader of Huntingdonshire District Council. I always championed the cause of those who live in rural areas where the problems are often less obvious to those allocating resources than larger urban areas. Everyone who enters politics will tell you that they have done so 'to make a difference'. But you can differentiate in different ways, some positive some negative. You can be in favour of things or you can be against things. As a Conservative I believe in the power of the individual, each of us can make a positive difference not only to our own lives but to those surrounding us. I don't believe in the individual over those around them. I believe that you are best able to live a fulfilling life if the state keeps out of your life as much as possible. But, there are many things we need the state to provide. And I believe that the best outcomes are achieved by putting the individual at the centre with everyone working together to support that individual's needs. And, whilst I will have differences of emphasis with my Conservative colleagues on the District and County Councils (and dare I say it in Parliament) I am assured that we share a similar set of beliefs that will aim for the best outcomes for you the citizen. I pledge to work with our MP, County and District colleagues as well the Town and Parish councils and Parish meetings in the ward for your benefit. If you choose me to represent you then I undertake to work assiduously on your behalf. Thank you for taking the time to read my election address. Please give me your support on Thursday, 7th May 2015. Yours sincerely, Nick NICK GUYATT
