Many of us remember being a young student in school, counting the days until summer vacation, where we could take a break from school, go on road trips to visit family or work a summer job, or play with our school friends. I remember a neighborhood game of kick the can at least on a weekly basis, or spending a month in catching lightning bugs, or a late night boat ride listening to my father spin stories about a certain monster that lived on the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee, located in Culver, Indiana. Well, that was back in the day when we didn’t necessarily enjoy school. I have found that here, Come say hello to our activities team members: Front Row at our Senior Centers, the walls are busting at the seams with folks that enjoy lifelong learning, in L-R: Allie, Maria, Jill. Back Row L-R: Jay, Chris, Sara. the many ways that manifests itself around here. Whether it’s catching a lecture at our Wednesday Speaker Series, brushing up our drawing skills, or learning how to line dance, there is something to do every day of the week. If you haven’t thought about spending time with us before, I am inviting you today to consider doing so. Now is the time to sign up for one of the many classes, groups, clubs, social opportunities and services at the Olympia and Lacey Senior Centers. We all want to help you find what your passions are and help you stretch and grow your brain, body and spirit.
