In this document : [NP] denotes a rule that shall not be grounds for protests by a boat. This changes RRS 60.1(a). [SP] denotes a rule for which a standard penalty may be applied by the race committee without a hearing or a discretionary penalty applied by the protests committee with a hearing. This changes RRS 63.1 and A5. 1 Rules 1.1 The event is governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) of World Sailing. 1.2 No national prescription will apply 1.3 • The Nacra 15 Equipment Inspection Regulations (EIR) will apply and will be published on manage2sail.com website 1.4 Nacra 15 Class rule C 3.2(c) is changed as follows : • Helmet is mandatory while afloat 1.5 RRS Appendix T, "Arbitration" will apply 1.6 If there is a conflict between languages, the English text will take precedence. 2 Sailing Instructions 2.1 The sailing instructions will be available on the webserver https://www.manage2sail.com/fr- CH/event/N15Europeans21#!/, no later than June 30, 2021 at 18:00 3. Communication 3.1 The online official notice board is located at https://www.manage2sail.com/fr-CH/event/N15Europeans21#!/. No printed matter will be available 3.2 [DP] From the first warning signal until the end of the last race of the day, except in an emergency, a boat shall not make voice or data transmissions and shall not receive voice or data communication that is not available to all boats. 4 Eligibility and Entry 4.1 The event is open to the Standard Youth “C” foil Nacra 15 class 4.2 Eligible boats may enter online on https://www.manage2sail.com/fr-CH/event/N15Europeans21#!/ no later than May 30, 2021 and pay the entry fee as stated in NoR 5.1. 4.3 Late entries will be accepted until June 14, 2021 and a late entry fee shall be paid as stated in NoR 5.1. 4.4 Last minute entries will be accepted until June 28, 2021 and last minute entry fee shall be paid as stated in NoR 5.1. 4.5 The following shall be produced at the registration: • Proof of the boats’ conformity with the class rules (equipment inspection form) • Proof of membership of a member national authority of World Sailing (MNA) or an affiliated club or organization of a MNA for all crew members • Proof of membership of the International Nacra 15 Class Association for all crew members. • Third-party liability insurance for an amount of at least EUR 1.5 million.

• For competitors under 18 years of age a completed and signed parental (or guardian) consent declaration form, available at https://www.manage2sail.com/fr-CH/event/N15Europeans21#!/). 4.6 All crew members shall comply with World Sailing Eligibility Code 19. 4.7 All crew members shall be full members of the International Nacra 15 Class Association 4.8 Boat intending to arrive before June 26, 2021 shall contact the organiser ([email protected]). 5 Fees 5.1 Entry Fee: CHF 400.— shall be paid at the time when entering Late entry fee: CHF 500.— shall be paid at the time when entering Last minute entry fee: CHF 600.— shall be paid at the time when entering

Entry and late entry fees shall be paid by credit card.

These fees are due, even if a boat withdraws the entry later or does not show up. They will only be refunded if the entry is rejected or cancelled by the organizing authority or the race committee or if the event is cancelled or the competitor is prevented from attending due to any governmental health regulation. 5.2 Entry fee includes : • Opening ceremony buffet • "After Race Buffet" after the last race of each racing day (except on Wednesday) • "Nacra 15 European Party" for the crew (support persons, parents are welcome upon reservation and with payment of CHF 30.- / person). • Closing ceremony buffet • Parking fees for the trailers 5.3 Other fees : • For competitors not able to proof their membership of a World Sailing National Authority or an affiliated club, temporary Swiss Sailing licenses are available at a price of CHF 25.-. 5.4 Entries are not completed until the required entry fee is received by the organizing authority in its account. 6. Crew limitations 6.1 Age limit : There will be no age limit. A competing team shall be able to right the boat from capsize unassisted and may be asked to demonstrate this afloat prior to racing. 7. Advertising 7.1 [DP] Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority. If this rule is broken, Word Sailing Advertising code 20.9.2 applies. 8 Qualifying series and final series 8.1. • The event consists of a single qualifying series. • Split fleets if more than 60 boats are entered. o Qualifying series and final series - may be constituted. o Split fleets will be in groups of approximately equal numbers of boats (± 1 boat). 9 Schedule 9.1 Registration confirmation and submission of required documents: • June 28, 2021 from 13:00 to 18:00 • June 29, 2021 from 09:00 to 18:00 • June 30, 2021 from 09:00 to 12:00 9.2 Equipment inspection: • June 28, 2021 from 13:00 to 18:00 • June 29, 2021 from 09:00 to 18:00 • June 30, 2021 from 09:00 to 12:00 9.3 Dates of racing: • June 30, 2021 Practice race 13:00 • July 01,2021 racing 1st Warning signal at 11:00 • July 02,2021 racing 1st Warning signal at 11:00 • July 03,2021 racing 1st Warning signal at 11:00 • July 04,2021 racing 1st Warning signal at 11:00

9.4 On July 01,2021 a briefing (for all competitors and coaches) is scheduled at 09:00. For the other days, a daily briefing is scheduled 90 minutes before the first warning signal of the day. 9.5 Number of races: • max number of races 20 9.6 On the last scheduled day of racing no warning signal will be made after 14:00 10 Equipment inspection 10.1 Each boat shall display stickers issued by the class according to the class rules specification 10.2 • Boats shall comply with all Nacra 15 class rules (to be downloaded from http://www.nacra15class.com/class- rules/ website). • Allocation for timeslots for equipment inspection will be possible until June 29. See the procedure on your registration confirmation. • Boats and equipment shall be available for inspection by the Technical Committee at the time booked on the timeslot booking system and during registration hours (NoR 9.2). https://www.slottr.com/sheets 10.3 • In accordance with RRS 78, competitors are responsible for maintaining their boat in accordance with the Class Rules (for the purpose of RRS 78, competitors are considered to be the owners). • Boats may be subject to inspection at any time during the event. • The procedures for inspections will be specified in the Equipment Inspection Regulations (EIR). 11 Venue 11.1 Addendum A shows the location of the event harbour. 12 Courses 12.1 Addendum B show the courses to be sailed: • Course type "Windward - Leeward" 13 Penalty System 13.1 RRS 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty. 13.2 RRS Appendix P, Special Procedures for RRS 42, will apply 13.3 An international Jury will be appointed as provided in RRS 70.5. 14 Scoring 14.1 4 races are required to be completed to constitute the championship. 14.2 (a) When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. (b) When from 5 to 9 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores, excluding her worst score (c) When 10 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores, excluding her two worst scores. 15 Support Persons Vessels 15.1 No support person vessels are authorised on the Silvaplana Lake 16 Chartered or loaned boats 16.1 A chartered or loaned boat may carry national letters or a sail number in contravention of her class rules, provided that the race committee has approved her sail identification before the first race. See RRS G3 16.2 To rent charter boats, see. http://www.nacra15class.com/directory/ 17 Berthing / Parking 17.1 [DP] [NP] Boats, trailers, and cars shall be kept in their assigned places. 18 Haul-out Restrictions - N/A 19 Diving Equipment and Plastic Pools - N/A 20 Media Rights, Cameras and Electronic Equipment 20.1 By participating in this event, competitors grant to the Organizing Authority and its sponsors the right in perpetuity to make, use and show, from time to time at their discretion, any motion pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproductions of the athlete and the boat, produced during the period of the competition without compensation. 20.2 [DP] [NP] Boats may be required to carry cameras, sound equipment and positioning equipment as specified and supplied by the Organizing Authority.

20.3 [DP][NP] Competitors shall not interfere with the normal working of the Organizing Authority supplied media equipment. 20.4 [DP] [NP] If required by the Organizing Authority competitors shall give interviews at the event. 21 Disclaimer of Liability 21.1 Competitors participate in the event entirely at their own risk. See RRS 3, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury, or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the event. 22 Insurance 22.1 Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance including the coverage of risks at competition, with a minimum cover of EUR 1'500'000 per incident or the equivalent. (declaration form available here : https://www.swiss-sailing.ch > Racing > Participants… > Documents) 23 Prizes 23.1 Prizes will be given as follows : • Souvenir prizes for each competitor Titles and ranking prizes: • The overall winner will be awarded the title “European Champion of the Nacra 15 class" o Medals for the top 3 boats of the championship (overall) • The junior U19 winner will be awarded the title "Nacra 15 class - U19 European Champion" (both competitors under 19 years old, during the last racing day) o Medals for the top 3 junior team U19 • The junior U16 winner will be awarded the title "Nacra 15 class - U16 European Champion" (both competitors under 16 years old, during the last racing day) o Medals for the top 3 junior team U16 • the top 3 national teams (combined results of the best 3 boats of each nation of which at least one from U16 category).
