Raced in Aid of Raced in Aid of Notice of Race for Steve Nicholson Memorial Trophy At Pitsford Reservoir on Saturday 26th January 2019 Competitors wishing to enter a class of boat not listed in Appendix SNT should please apply to [email protected] giving details of their proposed entry. If the race committee accept the class, it will be added to Appendix SNT and the prospective entrant will be notified by email. Please note any entry will still need to be made in the usual way and will be subject to the entry limit. Advertising will be allowed in accordance with the Class Rules of the competing classes. The races will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2017 – 2020, the RYA prescriptions, this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions. If there is a conflict between this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions the Sailing Instructions take precedence. Competitors should note that Northampton Sailing Club implements the RYA Racing Charter and that you will be required to undertake to sail in compliance with the Charter, which can be found at the front of the RYA rule book. Conditions of Entry The safety of a boat and her entire management including insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the owner/competitor racing the boat, who must ensure that the boat and crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise during the race. Neither the sailing instructions, nor the inspection of the boat limits or reduces the absolute responsibility of the owner/competitor for his/her crew his/her boat and the management thereof. The race organisers shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury however caused to the owner/competitor, his skipper or crew as a result of their taking part in the race or races. Moreover, every owner/competitor warrants the suitability of his boat for the race or races and that the boat and helm have appropriate insurance cover for the event to Third Party of at least £3,000,000.     Historical Portsmouth Number List The RYA Portsmouth Yardstick Scheme is provided to enable clubs to allow boats of different classes to race against each other fairly. The RYA actively encourages clubs to adjust handicaps where classes are either under or over performing compared to the number being used. The Portsmouth Yardstick list combines the Portsmouth numbers with class configuration and the total number of races returned to the RYA in the annual return. This additional data has been provided to help clubs achieve the stated aims of the Portsmouth Yardstick system and make adjustments to Portsmouth Numbers where necessary. Clubs using the PN list should be aware that the list is based on the average performance of each boat across a variety of clubs and locations. The numbers in the PN list may not reflect the peak performance of each boat. Historical numbers are listed below and have been collated from the RYA's archive of PN lists. It should be remembered that the Portsmouth Yardstick number list has been through a number of changes and the numbers listed below have had conversion factors applied where needed. It should also be remembered that whilst all efforts are taken for PN's not to drift, relative performance of older boats may be quite different to modern classes. The numbers are given as a starting point to help clubs arrive at a fair number and if these numbers are used then they should be reviewed regularly. Users of the PY scheme are reminded that all Portsmouth Numbers published by the RYA should be regarded as a guide only.

    NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE INTERNATIONAL 49er CLASS ASSOCIATION In accordance with the International 49er Class Association Constitution, this Notice, dated November 2, 2019, gives the required 28 days’ notice of the Annual General Meeting of the Class. The meeting will be held on November 30, 2019 at 1900 hrs Auckland Time. The meeting shall be at the Royal Akarana Yacht Club and only members of the World Council shall be entitled to vote. Resolutions There are 4 Ordinary Resolutions, 4 Special Resolutions and 2 Class Policy Changes. The Special Resolutions deal with Class Rule Changes and, for clarity, under the Class Constitution, a 2/3 majority is required to pass. Ordinary Resolutions and Class Policy Changes require a simple majority to pass. Clubs using the PN list should be aware that the list is based on the typical performance of each boat across a variety of clubs and locations. Experimental numbers are based on fewer returns and are to be used as a guide for clubs to allocate as a starting number before reviewing and adjusting where necessary. The list of experimental Portsmouth Numbers will be periodically reviewed by the RYA and is based on data received via PY Online. Users of the PY scheme are reminded that all Portsmouth Numbers published by the RYA should be regarded as a guide only. The RYA list is not definitive and clubs should adjust where necessary. ORGANIZING AUTHORITY Hellenic Sailing Federation. 2. RULES The event will be governed by : o The Racing Rules of Sailing 2017-2020 (World sailing). o The prescriptions of the Hellenic National Authority will not apply, except N1: RRS 40 (PFD). All competitors, race officials and support personnel shall be required to wear an adequate personal floatation device at all times while afloat. o The National Authority prescriptions 2 and 3 shall apply for Greeks competing at the Athens International Sailing Week o The Class rules (unless otherwise modified by this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions). o The HSF 2019 racing programme concerning National Championships. o This Notice of Race. o The Sailing Instructions. o If there is a conflict between a rule in the Notice of Race and a rule in the Sailing Instructions, the rule in the Sailing Instructions shall take precedence. This changes RRS 63.7. o If there is a conflict between languages the English text shall take precedence. 3. ADVERTISING The World Sailing Advertising Code, Regulation 20 shall apply. Boats may be required to display a bow number and advertisement of the event sponsor on either side on the forward 25% of the hull. Sailboards may be required to display such number and advertising on either side of the sail above the wishbone. Boats authorized to have advertising must present the permission of their National Authority.

Website: www.neptjournal.com The wild tropical tasar silkworm, Antheraea mylitta polyphagous sericigenous lepidopteran insect, producing tasar silk of commercial importance is distributed in various parts of India as ecoraces, with Received: 21-03-2018 variations in phenotypic traits like fecundity, voltinism, cocoon weight, silk ratio, etc. In spite of their Accepted: 11-06-2018 superior quality silk, they encounter problems like their gradual decrease in number and identification. Key Words: These populations are very difficult to separate based on morphological traits. The assessment of Antheraea mylitta ecoraces genetic structure of each population is considered as prerequisite for understanding and preserving Tasar silkworm natural biodiversity. Hence in the present investigation, genomic DNA of distinct populations of A. Biodiversity mylitta was extracted and screened for polymorphism by using EST-derived SSR markers. The DNA EST-SSR marker profiles based on these markers suggest that they could be effectively utilised for identifying the Single nucleotide polymorphism genetic variability among tasar ecoraces. The alignment of sequences obtained from genomic PCR products has identified potential EST-SSR marker to recognise single nucleotide polymorphism by comparing various tasar ecoraces.

Rules. 1.1 The regatta shall be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008. F16 Class rules and the prescriptions of the RYA sailing charter. 1.2 The organising authority being the Mumbles Yacht Club. 1.3 The Sailing Instructions will be available at registration. 2. Eligibility and Entry. 2.1 The event is open to all compliant Formula 16 Catamarans 2.2 Pre-entry forms are available on the MYC website or can be obtained at the Clubhouse at registration. 3. Advertising 3.1 This Regatta is classified as a Category C Event for advertising. 4. Fees. 4.1 Entry fee single-handed £70.00 double-handed £100. 5. Schedule. 5.1 Registration will take place from 09.00-10.30 & 17.30-21.30 on Friday 8 th August 2008 and 09.00-11.00hrs on Saturday 9 th August 2008. 5.2 Boat measuring will take place at the discretion of the F16 Governing Council. 5.3 08-08-08 Practice Race, Preparatory signal not before 11.30 09-08-08 Skippers Briefing 10.30 09-08-08 Races 1-2-3 Preparatory signal not before 11.55. Riviera Nord, Pescara, tel. 339- 3914399 (Mauro) [email protected] PLACE AND DATE: Pescara, L'Ammiraglia beach resort , May 2-3-4 2019 PROGRAMME: May 2nd registration from 9 am to 11am , at 1 pm is the warning signal for the first test, the next will follow. The warning signal time for the first test in following days will be exposed in the NOTICE board by 8pm every evening . In case of no communication , will imply the time of the previous day. No warning signal will be displayed after 2:30pm on May 4th . There will be 9 tests with a maximum of 4 tests per day. The race will be valid with any number of tests. For the allocation of the Italian Class Champion titles a minimum of 3 (three) tests must be completed.
