Stop Out vs Miramar Rangers - HUTT PARK

Arriving to the ground today it was clear that there had been a lot of rain around and it was going to be a little more difficult to play in some areas of the pitch. We welcomed Miramar to Hutt Park today as they also hosted our reserve team at Dave Farrington Park in Capital 1.

Not sure why but today we started extremely a ball into Luis who attracted 2 defenders to him disappointingly and slowly to say the least. before back heeling the ball on to an arriving Miramar were a lot more accurate when moving and unmarked Steve Guley who finished past the the ball than us and a lack of movement had our Miramar Keeper to equalise 2-2. Within a couple of team struggling to make any early impact on the minutes we had got the ball back into the area to game. On the back of a free kick Miramar took Luis who turned his man on the by-line, his marker a deserved early lead. Not too long later they decided to pull him back and another penalty was broke down their left hand side, there left sided awarded. Luis again stepped up to finish and give player cut in and buried a good finish to put us a 3-2 lead. Confidence grew and we were now them 2-0 up. Stop Out vs Havelock - GUTHRIE PARK Preparation for our fixture against Havelock began with a frustrating journey out of the Hutt Valley on Friday as there was a couple of car accidents that meant that our late departure van didn’t arrive to our accommodation in Hastings until 10pm.
