General information for investment Krasnoilsk village territorial community is situated in the southwestern part of the Chernivtsi oblast, on the Ukrainian-Romanian ethnic border. Geographical and climate conditions The community is situated in the southwestern part of the Chernivtsi oblast. Its relief surface is an alluvial plain, strongly dissected by deep erosion and eroded by sheetwash. The climate is moderately continental, mild and humid. The average January temperature is - 5.5 ° C, of July – +16.5 ° C. The length of the +10°С period varies from 145 days (in the mountains) to 165 days (in Carpathian Foothills). The precipitation level ranges from 650 mm per year in the valley of the Korovii river to 900 mm per year in the mountains. The bulk of the rainfall is received during the warm period of the year. The snow cover height is 28 cm. It belongs to the Carpathian agro-climatic region of the vertical climate zone. The administrative center of the Krasnoilsk village territorial community is the settlement of Krasnoilsk. The settlement of Krasnoilsk was mentioned first in the letter of the Moldavian Voivode Alexander the Good in 1431. The old name of the settlement is Krasna. In 1696 the lower part of the village, separated by a river, was bought by a nobleman O. Yilskyi. His name is still reflected in the name Krasnoilsk. The upper part was called Krasno Putna. In the summer of 1871, the great romantic poet Mihai Eminescu visited Krasno Putna on his way to the famous monastery in Putna (now it is the territory of Romania). In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a large German settlement existed on these lands. Krasnoilsk emerged as a settlement in 1968, when the two neighboring border villages were united in one locality. Transport infrastructure Krasnoilsk village territorial community is located 46 km from the regional center - the city of Chernivtsi; 20 km (route P 62) from the district center - the city of Storozhynets; 8 km from the checkpoint at the border with Romania - Krasnoilsk–Vicov de Sus. The main industries are: the production of plywood, wooden slabs and panels, veneer; sawing and planning production; kitchen furniture production. Community’s achievements At the moment, the following projects have been implemented by the community: - major repairs of the gym of Krasnoilsk secondary school №3; - major repairs of Krasnoilsk outpatient clinics of general practice of family medicine; - major repairs of the school of arts and library buildings in Krasnoilsk; - major repairs of the boiler room of Krasnoilsk gymnasium; - major repairs of the premises of the pre-school educational institution “Romashka” in Stara Krasnoshora; - major repairs of roads in Stara Krasnoshora; - reconstruction and the completion of the building of the Krasnoilsk pre- school educational institution # 2; Krasnoilsk village territorial community Investment passport - reconstruction of the regional anti-TB sanatorium in Krasnoilsk; - major repairs of the roof of the Museum of Ethnography; - the improvement of the central area in Krasnoilsk. The arts building is quite large, therefore, at the expense of the infrastructure subvention (about a million hryvnias), some repairs were carried out in certain premises. In 2018 the community is planning to repair the rest of the library buildings at its own expense.
