The first call for participation for submission of abstracts and full papers in social sciences, educational studies, economics, language studies and interdisciplinary studies, was announced to the registered subscribers of ICSS email database as well as through conference alerts services on 19 July 2018. The submitted abstracts and papers have been reviewed in terms of eligibility of the titles as well as their contents and the authors whose works were accepted were called to submit their final version of the papers until 31 October 2018. The peer reviewers who are also the registered authors of ICSS XVI did a voluntary work, exchanged review notes with the authors. The final papers were accepted until 6 November 2018. Evaluating an English Preparatory Program Using CIPP Model and Exploring the Motivational Beliefs for Learning

Specifically, the perceptions of students and instructors for Stuffleabeam’s Context Input Process Product (CIPP) model were investigated and the motivational beliefs of students for learning were examined. To meet these objectives, Stufflebeam’s (1971) CIPP evaluation model was used to find out the perceptions of the two groups of participants about the current program as well as the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) developed by Pintrich et al., (1993) was administered to the students to discover their motivational beliefs for learning. The quantitative data were obtained through questionnaires administered to 54 students and 33 instructors and the qualitative data were gathered via semi-structured interviews carried out with 10 students and 5 instructors. The findings of the study revealed that although the participants were content with materials, assessment, and the teaching methods, there was a need to develop speaking and listening skills. Additionally, among the motivational beliefs of the students, control beliefs, task value, and intrinsic goal orientation were perceived to be crucial for the students. Finally, the perceptions of the students and instructors reported some strengths and weaknesses that need to be addressed in the program. We are happy to publish the second report of 2019 after the first report that we released in 2017. The primary non-governmental organization and point of reference for the logistics industry with its 458 members, UTIKAD accepts the importance of leaving a world worth to live to the next generations. Aside from that, as a sector, we continue our efforts to reduce the damage to nature. Being the first non-governmental organization with the "Green Office" certificate in Turkey, UTIKAD set "sustainability" as the main agenda item during the FIATA World Congress organized in 2014 in Istanbul. In this framework, the "Sustainable Logistics Certificate" prepared in cooperation with Bureau Veritas is the first of its kind in the world. With this initiative, we were granted the "Low Carbon Hero" award in the Vth Carbon Summit organized by Sustainable Production and Consumption Association (SÜT-D) last year. -

Furthermore, every youth would like to study in a university giving the best education at international standards. Seeking after knowledge at the best and farthest institution has been a common rule throughout history. Throughout history, particularly in the Islam culture, many scholars had gone to various realms cradling science and wisdom, and been taught far away from their countries. Having risen in the last century, the number of students worldwide has reached above 5 million worldwide. Besides, this has become a major service sector for all countries in socio-cultural and economical terms, having reached to an annual economical volume of $ 100 billion. Anatolia has been a center of education and science thanks to the scientist it has brought up, its history, its nature, and its geopolitical location at the intersection of three continents. Today, Turkey, too, is an educational center in its territory with its nearly 200 universities, and more than 100 hundred thousand students coming from 95 counties. Students prefer Turkey due to the particular reasons mentioned below. Turkey is a modern Muslim country being governed by Republican regime. Turkey is a country with a thriving economy, alongside its historical, climatic, and natural beauties. Turkish universities accommodate all departments in Turkey with numerous alternatives. While Turkish universities in general are at European standards, not only the private universities are cheaper than those in Europe, it is also way cheaper to study in the state universities, and even for free in some of them. -

Output 1: Initial Research & Analysis Report 1 Higher-ed Programmes for Careers in Game Design & Development (2019–2022) Credits GAMEHIGHED* * Higher-ed Programmes for Careers in Game Design & Development (2019–2022) GAMEHIGHED connects four universities and a game industry association in a 3-year project to develop innovative teaching programmes, open edu-resources [OER] and recommendations for higher education leading to game dev careers. Production pipelines, monetization meth- ods, user interfaces, controller devices: all components of the game industry are changing rapidly, influenced by many different things like technological developments, social media trends, shifting hu- man psyche and so on. Game design and development education must definitely sync with the flow and adapt to the expectations of various stakeholders. This first output of "Higher-ed Programmes for Careers in Game Design & Development aka GAMEHIGHED" Erasmus+ project fo- cuses on the game education adventures of four countries (Poland, Finland, Czechia and Turkey), outlining their constraints and advan- tages as well as the specific needs and expectations of the host institutions. The GAMEHIGHED journey started with actual jour- neys as study visits to game universities and game scenes in İstan- 3 bul (BAU), Prague (CU + GDACZ), Jyväskylä (JYU) and Bydgoszcz (UKW). -
