He joined Ingeteam R&D Europe, Zamudio, Spain, in May 2014, where he is currently an R&D Engineer. Since January 2017, he has also been a Lecturer with the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Bilbao, Spain. From February 2012 to May 2012 he was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. His current research interests include modelling, modulation and control of power converters, multilevel topologies, advanced modulation techniques, high- power motor drives and grid-tied converters. Iosu Marzo was born in Bergara, Spain, in 1995. He received the B.S. degree in Renewable Energies Engineering, and the M.S. degree in the Integration of Renewable Energies into the Power Grid, both from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Spain, in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Since 2018, he has been with the Electronics and Computer Science Department at the University of Mondragon, Mondragon, Spain, researching in the area of Power Electronics 1 Good quality papers may be considered for publication in the IEEE Trans. -
Croatia and Romania 2018
Office of International Education Country Report Croatia and Romania Highlights Romanian scholars consistently collaborate with UGA faculty to produce joint academic output, with main areas of co-publication including Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry. From 2007-2017, these collabora- tions resulted in 90 co-publications. The Higher Education Initiative for Southeastern Europe, a collabo- ration between UGA’s Institute of Higher Education and the Center for Advanced Studies in Southeast Europe at the University of Rijeka in Croa- tia, is designed to assist in developing high quality teaching among partner in- stitutions and to stimulate excellence in institutional management and governance through appropriate degree programs and continuing professional education seminars. UGA’s partnership with Babeş Bolyai university in Cluj-Napoca, Romania spans many fields, including Journalism and Chemistry. This latter area of collaboration has resulted in numerous publications in leading chemical journals. Academic Collaboration and Exchange in Croatia and Romania Between 2007 and 2017, UGA faculty collaborated to jointly publish 16 and 90 scholarly articles with colleagues in Croatia and Romania, respectively. -

CIUS Newsletter Spring 2005 Spring Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies 450 Athabasca Hall, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T6G 2E8 CIUS and the Orange Revolution: Informing the Public and Media on Events in Ukraine Fall 2004 was a period in which CIUS staff became increasingly fo- cused on the presidential elections in Ukraine. Th is involved, for the most part, informing colleagues, the me- dia, and the general public about the Ukrainian presidential elections and what has become known as the Orange Revolution. CIUS also managed the Ukraine Transparency and Election Monitoring Project (UTEMP) in this period. UTEMP was offi cially launched on 10 September 2004, when Toronto MP Borys Wrzesnewskyj presented CIUS with a $250,000 cheque on behalf of his family’s charitable foundation “Dopo- moha Ukraini—Aid to Ukraine.” James Jacuta headed the project for CIUS, while the NGO Community Energy Foundation was CIUS’s partner in Voting on 26 December in Zaporizhia, Ukraine. Cinema was able to bring together moving image and sound for the first time, and as a result of its audiovisual nature, it is a particularly suitable resource for motivation in education. In this light, the teacher’s perception for its application in its initial formal stage is highly relevant. The main objective of our research, therefore, has been to analyze the perceptions of cinema as a didactic resource for the transmission of content in preschool and primary education by students who are studying to become teachers themselves. The sample was composed of 4659 students from Spanish universities, both public and private. In addition to this, the PECID questionnaire was elaborated ad hoc and a comparative ex post facto design was adopted. The result showed that over 87% of students recognized the diverse educational potentialities of cinema, with motivation being an important factor. Furthermore, significant differences were found in perceptions according to different factors such as the type of teacher training degree, the Autonomous Community in which the student studied, as well as film consumption habits. -

People are not less interested in what we thought yesterday than in what we think today. Page 1 of 13 Consulate General of India Frankfurt *** General and Bilateral Brief- North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) / India North Rhine-Westphalia, commonly shortened to NRW is the most populous state of Germany, with a population of approximately 18 million, and the fourth largest by area. It was formed in 1946 as a merger of the provinces of North Rhine and Westphalia, both formerly parts of Prussia, and the Free State of Lippe. Its capital is Düsseldorf; the largest city is Cologne. Four of Germany's ten largest cities—Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, and Essen— are located within the state, as well as the second largest metropolitan area on the European continent, Rhine-Ruhr. NRW is a very diverse state, with vibrant business centers, bustling cities and peaceful natural landscapes. The state is home to one of the strongest industrial regions in the world and offers one of the most vibrant cultural landscapes in Europe. Salient Features 1. Geography: The state covers an area of 34,083 km2 and shares borders with Belgium in the southwest and the Netherlands in the west and northwest. It has borders with the German states of Lower Saxony to the north and northeast, Rhineland-Palatinate to the south and Hesse to the southeast. Thinking of North Rhine-Westphalia also means thinking of the big rivers, of the grassland, the forests, the lakes that stretch between the Eifel hills and the Teutoburg Forest range. The most important rivers flowing at least partially through North Rhine-Westphalia include: the Rhine, the Ruhr, the Ems, the Lippe, and the Weser.
