Un fantasma recorre la música de la segunda mitad de los noventa: el post-rock, sombra difusa y huidiza bajo la cual suelen agruparse bandas tan poco agrupables entre sí como Mogwai, Mouse on Mars, Tortoise y Piano Magic. Lo único que comparten los "postrockeros", como establece enseguida Introspective, es que sus estilos no encajan en ninguno de los casilleros predeterminados por la industria o el mercado musical. El catalán Garriga aprovecha la centralidad de Barcelona en el fenómeno (a través, sobre todo, del Festival Sónar) para registrar a sus protagonistas sobre y bajo el escenario: por ahí desfilan verdaderas leyendas como Thurston Moore y Lee Ranaldo de Sonic Youth, Ira Kaplan de Yo La Tengo, el ex Spacemen 3 y actual Spiritualized Jason Pierce, y Jeff Tweedy de Wilco, por nombrar algunos. Fragmentos de una larga entrevista con Zlaya, productor histórico de muchos de ARAM GARRIGA/Filmografía/Filmography: esos artistas, estructuran la búsqueda de Garriga en pos de las emociones, razones y obsesiones escondidas tras una etiqueta Largometrajes/Feature films: 2009: INTROSPECTIVE. que, como todas, oscurece más de lo que aclara.

A spectre is haunting late nineties' music: post-rock, a vague and fleeding shadow that some use as a category to put together bands that are not so easily keen to be group together, like Mogwai, Mouse on Mars, Tortoise and Piano Magic. As Introspective soon states, the only thing these "post-rockers" have in common is that their styles don't fit into any of the predetermined categories of the music industry or market. Born in Catalonia, Garriga takes advantage of Barcelona's central importance in the phenomenon (mainly because of its Sonar Festival) capturing its protagonists both on and off stage: a parade of true legends like Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo, Yo La Tengo's Ira Kaplan, former Spacemen 3 Jason Spierce (now Spiritualized), and Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, just to name a few. Fragments of a long interview with Zlaya, the historic producer of many of these artists, give structure to Garriga's search for the emotions, reasons, and obsessions hiding behind a label that - as many of them do - is more confusing than clear.
