Fiestas Y Tradiciones Mexicanas AÑO IX | NÚMERO 51 | NOVIEMBRE-DICIEMBRE DEL 2014 | PUBLICACIÓN BIMESTRAL | BAJA CALIFORNIA, MÉXICO Publicación Fiestas y Tradiciones gratuita Mexicanas Además • El síndrome de Peter Pan y Wendy • Viajes en el tiempo • Una tradición que se niega a morir • El valor de la motivación en la enseñanza • La muerte entre catrinas y calabazas Editorial a cultura mexicana y sus múltiples manifestaciones se expresan en tradiciones que son ejemplo de la riqueza histórica de una nación nacida del encuentro de dos mundos: el europeoL y el indígena, por ende es muy rica, pues además mezcla elementos de diversos perio- dos, desde aspectos prehispánicos y del periodo colonial, hasta modernos. Cuando se tiene la oportunidad de vivir el ambiente de las festividades mexicanas nos encontramos con un panorama lleno de significados en donde es posible ver y descubrir la esencia de México y su rico pasado que se niega a morir. En México existen también muchas tradiciones y costumbres extranjeras que hemos adoptado y que de alguna manera han enriquecido nuestra cultura, pero esto no significa que debamos perder las costumbres propias de nuestro país, ya que estas representan nuestras raíces, nuestra cultura y nuestro vínculo con un pasado lleno de historia, sentimiento y amor hacia este maravilloso país que es México. Acorde a la época en que vivimos muchas de estas tradiciones han cambiado la esencia de su significado convirtiéndose en festividades comerciales que todos esperamos, ya sea por las vacaciones, fiestas o las celebraciones que hacemos de ellas, y nos olvidamos por completo de su verdadero significado, mismo que debemos conocer para preservar el legado histórico, que nos han heredado, para así compartirlo con el mundo. Los ojos del mundo apuntan a que los mexicanos gozamos mucho de las fiestas y al parecer es cierto. Existen las fiestas tradicionales que son las que se rigen por el calendario católico, aunque conserven aspectos de origen netamente prehispánicas, también existen las fiestas cívicas, las navideñas, las patrias y las fiestas sociales, porque los mexicanos gustamos de celebrar muchas cosas, es por ello que en esta edición, la Arq. Yolanda García Ferrer hace un recorrido por lo que son nuestras fiestas en familia, entrega con la que muchos nos veremos identificados. Y qué decir de nuestros festejos de día de muertos, únicos en el mundo, es por ello que el Lic. Daniel Cajero nos explica en su artículo un poco de lo que significa esta fiesta no sólo para nosotros como mexicanos, también para los ojos de otros países, quienes contrariados gozan de esta tradición. Desde Mexicali nos llega también la entrega de la Arq. Yolanda Lozano, quien nos cuenta la historia de los alebrijes, artesanías mexicanas famosas y reconocidas en todo el mundo. Y siguiendo con el tema de las fiestas y las tradiciones, también presentamos un artículo sobre la adopción de costumbres extranjeras, a cargo del Mtro. Hember Monroy. Y si de tradiciones se trata, no podíamos dejar de lado nuestros dulces típicos mexicanos, famosos dentro y fuera de México; la docente Kazuko Nomura de Preparatoria Xochicalco nos habla en su artículo de la exquisita variedad de dulces y nos enlista algunos. Y como no todo se trata de fiestas, en esta edición no puede faltar la colaboración del Mtro. Arturo Gutiérrez de Alba, quien nos presenta una biografía de un personaje por demás interesante, alguien de quien se conoce poco, o bien, sólo el ámbito militar de su carrera, se trata de Victoriano Huerta; el artículo que está dividido en dos partes, por lo que no se deben perder la continuación en el siguiente número. En el ámbito del Derecho y las leyes, presentamos también el artículo Breves conside- raciones sobre el Derecho de Autor en México, a cargo del Lic. y docente Sergio M. Murillo; también presentamos un artículo sobre el nuevo juicio de amparo y un ensayo sobre el dere- cho de los animales, a cargo de estudiantes de Derecho del campus Tijuana. Tampoco se pueden perder nuestra sección de cuento y poema. Esperamos que esta edición de La huella del coyote sea de su agrado, y les deseamos muy felices fiestas.     Mexican Folk Art A Brief Introduction to Mexican Folk Art Mexican Folk Art is referred to as artesanías; Mexican Folk Artists in Mexico tend to be a part of a community either in the country side or the city. In most rural communities crafts are made in the artisans' spare time, being farming their main activity, these artist are typically self taught; as well as artist with artist workshops. An artisan or folk artist is often described as a person skilled in a specic art form and hand-crafts distinctive designs in small quantities using traditional methods. Many states such as Oaxaca, Leon, Jalisco and Michoacan are the states most associated with popular Mexican folk art, each region offers its own contribution. Enjoy this brief introduction to our favorite designs that honor La Cultura Mexican. Sacred Mexican Folk Hearts are a beloved folk art, that are a part of almost every home in Mexico, along with La Virgen de Guadalupe.
