Dear Parents and Carers Leadership of the South Hams Federation

Further to my letter of 2nd March 2020 regarding the appointment of Mrs Tess Coulthard as the Acting Executive Headteacher and Miss Louise Nicholls as Acting Deputy Executive Headteacher of the South Hams Federation. I am writing to further outline the leadership structure across the South Hams Federation with effect from 1st September, 2020.

Following a Board of Governors Meeting yesterday, we have asked Mrs Coulthard to assume the joint role of Acting Executive Headteacher and Head of School at Stokenham Primary School, replacing Mrs Sue Jezard when she retires at the end of this school year.

This will create an opportunity to appoint a new Head of School for Modbury Primary School. We have already started the recruitment process and we look forward to announcing the new Head of School as soon as we have made a successful appointment.

From September 2020, the leadership of the South Hams Federation will be as follows:

Acting Executive Headteacher Mrs Tess Coulthard (based at Stokenham Primary School) Acting Deputy Executive Headteacher Miss Louise Nicholls (based at Loddiswell Primary School)

The Head of Schools within the Federation will be:

Kingsbridge Community Primary School Mr Gareth Howells Loddiswell Primary School Miss Louise Nicholls Malborough with South Huish Primary School Mrs Jackie Heath Modbury Primary School New appointment Stokenham Area Primary School Mrs Tess Coulthard
