Cirillo and F. Martellotta, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 118, 232–248 ͑2005͒; T. Zamarreño et al., J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 121, 234–250 ͑2006͔͒. They all suggested variations to the “revised” theory proposed by Barron and Lee ͓J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 84, 618–628 ͑1988͔͒, starting from experimental observations. The present paper compares these models and attempts to generalize their use taking advantage of the measurements carried out in 24 Italian churches differing in style, typology, and location. The whole sample of churches was divided into two groups. The first was used to fine-tune existing models, with particular reference to the “␮ model,” which was originally tested only on Mudejar-Gothic churches. Correlations between model parameters and major typological and architectural factors were found, leading to a classification that greatly simplifies parameter choice. Finally, the reliability of each model was verified on the rest of the sample, showing that acoustic parameters can be predicted with reasonable accuracy provided that one of the specifically modified theories is used.     MY CANZONIERE By Carlo Siliotto I can't remember how it all started... The first image I have in mind is the Parioli's branch of the Italian Communist Party, where Stefano Lepri, Teresa Marchesi, Maurizio Gnerre, and maybe Clara Sereni, are singing folk songs. Songs like "Gli Scariolanti". Songs easy to sing, just a few chords, simple and yet filled with something absolute, something fierce as you find in classic music. They are songs, yet they're not light, easy-listening stuff; they are songs you want to sing together, they talk about people and real feelings, they are inventions and yet they are not, they are the legacy you want to pass on, a gift you hand to somebody, something deeply physical inviting you to participate, calling you to clap your hands on the same beat, and join the chorus. Those songs are different, a good vehicle for those of us in search for another dimension, an alternative project to what society and schools in the '60s tried to transmit. I don't know why, but I feel my Latin and Greek teacher won't like those songs, not to talk about my math teacher! But they are fine to me: I feel like I suddenly found a dress fitting on me like a glove. I go back in time when I was 10 years old, and to my mind runs to those long white shirts of the Gospel Choir of the Black Nativity which opened my eyes, ears and heart in Spoleto, where my mother brought me, on occasion of the Two Worlds Festival [Il Festival dei due mondi], in 1960, the moment I felt music anointed me.

COMPOSIZIONE DEL GRUPPO Il Gruppo, formato da Mariangela Peghetti, da Giovanna Stanganello e dai coordinatori Maurizio Gusso e Leonardo Rossi, docenti o ex docenti di scuola secondaria di primo o secondo grado, soci/socie di IRIS [1], nel corso del tempo si è trasformato da un Gruppo incentrato su una singola ricerca ad hoc e a termine in un Gruppo di ricerca e formazione, con due obiettivi: a) la pubblicazione nel sito www.storieinrete.org e/o in forma cartacea di contributi di ricerca; b) la progettazione e la gestione di iniziative di formazione (seminari di formazione, laboratori formativi adulti, laboratori didattici con gli studenti). 2. L’AMBITO DI RICERCA ORIGINARIO E LE INIZIATIVE DI FORMAZIONE CONSEGUENTI 2.1 Motivazioni, finalità e obiettivi della ricerca didattica Fra le varie pratiche didattiche innovative al confine fra storia, educazione musicale/musica, lingue e letterature italiane e straniere nelle scuole secondarie di primo e secondo grado, non sembrano essere molto diffusi gli approcci interdisciplinari caratterizzati da un’equilibrata mediazione didattica fra i bisogni formativi degli studenti e le risorse, costituite dai diversi e specifici saperi quotidiani e apporti disciplinari, e da una sufficiente attenzione all’uso didattico delle canzoni come fonti storiche.
