Dream Journey // Traumreise

I have known Journeys since my childhood where we used to listen to them on the CD player. In Germany we call them Traumreise. Often in English they are also referred to as guided imagery. However, I find the name Dream Journey much more mystical and appropriate for the journeys one undertakes.

Dream Journeys are a gentle, but powerful technique that focuses our in an active way. It is a form of visualization or guided self-. The journey can be as simple as a 5-second pause imagining an outcome of something or as complex as visualizing internal cell structures and actions. But today, I’d like to focus on the Dream Journey for relaxation, where you are guided by my voice into a calm setting you visualize inside your . Today we will venture into the forest.

Involving all senses

The Dream Journey involves all the senses. When we visualize a scene in front of us, we try to imagine the smell of the flowers around us, we feel the touch of the slight breeze, we hear the birds singing and the trees moving in the wind, we the freshness of the air on our lips and we see the forest in front of us – green and clear.

Dream Journeys are a form of guided , which has the capability to deliver positive, healing and motivating messages to our subconsciousness. Through simple images, sensations, symbols and metaphors these messages are received in an altered-like state.
