Construction Management in general:

Construction managers plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise construction from development to completion. They confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems. They plan, schedule, or coordinate construction activities to meet deadlines. Inspecting or reviewing projects to monitor compliance with and safety codes, environmental regulations or other regulations is also a part of the job. Often studying job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods is necessary. Sometimes construction managers need to investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed. They prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with , consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors. Construction managers require skills in: building and construction, and technology, design, mathematics, computers and electronics, administration and management. Most have a bachelor’s degree and the Employment of construction managers is projected to grow 16 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations. 1

Graduates of the program Land Surveying possess a working knowledge of the construction business model and are exceptionally well-prepared to contribute to a project or firm immediately. 1
