This event had special meaning for Brazil since the last ICSW Conference held in our country happened in 1962, 44 years ago. The choice for theme “Social Inclusion – Facing Poverty and Social Inequalities”, is related to the living reality of countries not only from Latin America but also from other regions of the world. The accomplishment of such an important event only could be possible through the support and financing of governmental and non-governmental institutions. Most of them were our partners since the very moment Brazil have been chosen to be the site of the Conference. Thus we would like to express our gratitude to the following institutions: The Ministry of Social Development and Fight Against Hunger - MDS which covered the infrastructure, transport and lodging expenses of invited speakers, as well as have direct participation in the commissions responsible by the event. The National Department of Commerce Social Service – SESC/DN which not only have apported financial resources and participated in various commissions but also have installed in its head office the Conference Executive Secretary, with all infrastructure and also sponsored the execution of folders and banners to divulge the event. Along with the participation of SESC/DN we have counted also with the most valuable contribution of SESC / São Paulo, SESC / Rio and SESC / Federal District. The Industry Social Service – SESI/DN, SESI / Federal District and SESI / National Council which were partners in the construction of the technical content and of resources which have granted the accomplishment of the conference and in the search to envolve international organizations as ILO and UNESCO. The Special Secretary of Policies for Promotion of Racial Equality – SEPPIR, which have status as a Ministry, since the beginning of the works for organization of the conference in 2005 was an allied of CBCISS participating in commissions, suggesting themes and appointing possible speakers. It also installed a stand as a space to divulge actions developed by it at a national level. SENAR – National Service of Rural Apprenticeship was another partner which integrated itself in the Conference themes, assigning resources and utilizing a space for presentation of its actions as a way to interchange experiences with national and foreign participants. CNPq - National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, the scientific institution very well respected in Brazilian academic milieu by its partnership in the Conference accomplishment. The Federal Revenue which marked its presence in the event with a stand where a popular booklet to indicate its services and how to access them was distributed. We would like to detach also the support of the Federal District which was present during the event, presenting works and offering services to participants. EMBRATUR - Brazilian Enterprise of Tourism which helped CBCISS, since the 31st Conference in Malaysia, to bring the 32nd Conference to Brazil, and during all the event was a partner with a stand at the Convention Center to divulge our country and assigning resources for the Conference accomplishment. ILO and UNESCO by their participation in the organization and composition of two symposiums panels on Work and Education themes, respectively, allowing the knowledge and debates with professionals internationally well-known. IBASE, our companion since the beginning, helping in the composition of themes, in the appointment of speakers, intermediating contacts with professionals of well-known technical capacity, active in civil society organizations, in order to have them in the program. Brazilian Convention Bureau, partner during the event. An international conference like ours which have participants of 43 countries was made possible because it had a valorous team that did not measure time or efforts to accomplish everything that was planned and overcoming itself in solution of problems in order that the Conference participants could take with them the best impression of the event, specially the quality of the speakers messages, allowing the interchange of experiences as a way to seek strategies to overcome poverty and social inequalities. Our recognition goes also to ICSW by the opportunity which have proportionate to Brazil to be a site for an international conference and by the presence of its President, Executive Secretary and staff members of other ICSW regions.
