High Point Theatre to Welcome Pianist Frederick Moyer for Free Virtual Concert March 21

In partnership with the High Point Community Concert Association (HPCCA), High Point Theatre will welcome renowned pianist Frederick Moyer to its (virtual) stage for a FREE livestream concert on Sunday, March 21, at 4 p.m. Frederick has excited and delighted audiences in 44 countries — from the Sydney Opera House to Windsor Castle to Carnegie Recital Hall to the Kennedy Center – and now High Point will hear his talent. The concert will exhibit both classical music and jazz, showcasing his impeccable training and exact artistry. An avid computer programmer and inventor with multiple patents, Frederick has created innovative concerts that redefine the piano recital. His MoyerCam gives the audience a view of the hands and keyboard, while his USolo software allows him to play piano concertos in recital with orchestral accompaniment synchronized to his interpretations. At the library, in an effort to educate and recognize National Burn Awareness Week, Geraldine Ingram prepared a poster board based on this year's theme Electrical Safety from Amps to Zap (A to Z)! Gail Simpson created a game titled "Find the Scroll." The idea was to make little scrolls of each alphabet and place them around the library for staff to find. As the scrolls were found, they were placed on the poster board located in the hallway of the staff entrance. The poster board displayed the electrical hazard and solution. Thanks to Geraldine and Gail for providing safety education and building team spirit in a fun way.
