WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SAINT MARTIN (long version) WORK ● I am committed to exploring careers to find a potential fit for me ● I am committed to training and building my professional & technical skills ● I am committed to being on-time in attendance & assignments ● I am committed to following instructions & policies at my work site ● I am committed to respectful behavior, dress & language at ALL times ● I am committed to being friendly, curious & willing to share at work ● I am committed to asking for help from Supervisors and Saint Martin staff when needed ● I am committed to going beyond what is expected and asking what else can I do STUDY ● I am committed to high standards and academic excellence, great not just good enough ● I am committed to hard work and keeping up with my assignments ● I am committed to attendance and active/focused participation in ALL classes ● I am committed to respectful behavior, dress & language at ALL times ● I am committed to keeping an open mind and new ways to learn ● I am committed to asking for help from faculty & staff when needed SERVE ● I am committed to taking care of my fellow students ● I am committed to taking care & supporting my family ● I am committed to my sophomore service program ● I am committed to participating in community service opportunities LEAD ● I will take responsibility & accountability for my actions & decisions ● I will follow Saint Martin’s student handbook ● I will “get involved” and participate in extra-curricular activities ● I will always behave with Honesty & Integrity ● I will bring a positive outlook & attitude to everything I do ● I will lift others up, not tear them down ● I will commit to continuous improvement in every aspect of my life PRAY ● I understand God is with us and I will do my best to “Go with God” ● I will practice the Golden Rules, even when no one is watching: o Love one another o Care for each other o Include one another o Forgive each other ● I will actively participate in school religious services & retreats WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SAINT MARTIN (short version 1) ● I have chosen to WORK: I will explore career opportunities, be on time, follow instructions and policies at my job, strive to exceed supervisor expectations, avoid distractions like cell phones and headphones, treat all co-workers & supervisors with respect and kindness, operate with honesty & integrity and ask for help when needed. ● I have chosen to STUDY: I will be on time for every class ready to learn, avoid distractions like cell phones & headphones, set high expectations and achieve academic excellence not just good enough, treat all classmates and faculty & staff with respect and kindness, operate with honesty & integrity and ask for help when needed. ● I have chosen to SERVE: I am committed to taking care of my fellow students and supporting my family & community, participate in the sophomore service program, seek out and engage in broader community service opportunities both at school and on my own. ● I have chosen to LEAD: I will take responsibility & accountability for my behavior and actions, follow the Saint Martin student handbook and honor its policies & guidelines, get involved in extra-curricular activities, bring a positive attitude to everything I do, operate with honesty & integrity, pull others up and not tear them down. ● I have chosen to PRAY: I am seen by God and I will do my best to “Go with God”, and treat others with Love, Care, Inclusion and Mercy, and participate with respect in faith services and retreats. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SAINT MARTIN (short version 2) ● I have chosen to pursue High Standards: I will challenge myself both at work and with my academic classes to exceed average results, be great not just good enough. ● I have chosen to Be Present: I will be on time for every class and work; mentally, emotionally and physically ready to fully engage without distractions like phones, headphones, or a lack of focus. ● I have chosen to be a member of a Community: I will follow the Saint Martin student handbook and honor its policies and guidelines. I will behave with respect and kindness with fellow students, faculty, staff, co-workers & supervisors, and my family, both in person and online. ● I understand Saint Martin is a Faith based school: I am seen by God and I will do my best to “Go with God” and treat others with Love, Care, Inclusion and Mercy, and I will participate with respect in faith services and retreats. I will also commit to broader service opportunities offered by Saint Martin and on my own. ● I have chosen to Grow: I am committed to continuous improvement by partnering with Saint Martin faculty, staff and work supervisors and I am willing to be open, to receive feedback, and to seek help when I am unable to meet expectations and requirements. .
