CH - Neuheiten 2006 594 Jodlerklub Wiesenberg "Mey Freyd" Phonoplay Am 8.8.88 gründeten vierzehn junge, jodelbegeisterte Wiesenberger auf Initiative von Sepp Niederberger den Klub auf den provisorischen Namen "Bärgbuirechörli". 1991 beschlossen die Mitglieder den Beitritt zum Eidgenössischen Jodlerverband unter dem Namen JK Wiesenberg. Heute singen und jutzen im Klub noch acht Gründungsmitglieder und elf weitere Jodler. Mit einer eigenen Version von "Ewigi Liebi" der Mundart-Rockgruppe "Mash" verlassen die sonst urchigen Jodler für einmal die Jodlertradition. The Swiss entry, ”Ne partez pas sans moi” stole the crown this year at the end of the voting, thanks to Yugoslavias jury for some reason agreed with the French singer Gerard Lenorman that his entry was of the same class as ”My way” (”Comme d´habitude”). And I can imagine that the UK singer Scott Fitzgerald was a bit surprised over the outcome. In ans case, not only Celine Dion started her way to success this year, also Lara Fabian entered, but for Luxembourg. So how did my list compare to the final result this year. We had some really good entries but 1988 must be seen as a middle year even if songs like ”Pu og peir”, ”Nauravat Silmät muistetaan”, ”La chica que yo quiro” and ”Ka du se hva jeg sa”. Sweden sent our number one musical star Mr Tommy Körberg who went from the stages of the London musical scene to Eurovision (his second try) and for Swedish media it was all in the bag, Eurovision from Sweden 1989.. It turned out to be very wrong and the Swedish delegation blamed Tommys bad cold and voice problems.

    Linguistic and cultural changes throughout the history of the Eurovision Song Contest Trabajo de Fin de Grado Lenguas Modernas y Traducción Facultad de Filosofía y Letras Written by: Sergio Lucas Rojo Tutored by: Irina Ursachi July 2020 Abstract This paper aims to clarify some of the linguistic problems that have arisen in recent years at the Eurovision Song Contest, one of the most important music events in the world. Through an exhaustive bibliographic review and the individual analysis of a large number of entries, it is concluded that linguistic diversity, an identifying feature of the show in the past, has been reduced by establishing a rule that does not oblige artists to sing in the language of the country they represent. English has taken over the reins of this annual competition, although there is still room for the traditional and the ethnic. The research that has been carried out is intended to serve as a reference for all Eurovision followers who wish to expand their knowledge. It also attempts to clarify concepts such as “linguistic diversity”, “identity” and “culture”, which can be extrapolated to other fields of knowledge. It must be noted that not only have linguistic issues been dealt with, but there are references to all the factors involved in the contest. However, it is those phenomena related to languages that form the backbone of the work. Key words: Eurovision Song Contest, languages, culture, identity, Europe, music. As a noun it’s far less used than the adjective derived from it – miscellaneous – which is probably why the British and Americans can’t agree on how to pronounce it: I say mis-sel-la- nee, stressing the ‘sel’; they say mis-sa-lay-nee, stressing the ‘lay’. Collection is probably easier. This Swiss miscellany is a collection of curious and quirky, statistical and historical, intriguing and interesting facts about Switzerland. It is a subjective look at a unique country and its people, but not an utterly comprehensive one.     1989 Reprend Un Bon Nombre Des Standards Mis En Place Par Les Irlandais L’Année Précédente

Durée : 3h 10. Trente trois ans se sont écoulés entre le premier concours Eurovision organisé par la Suisse et celui de Lausanne. C’est cette fois la suisse francophone qui accueille le concours. L’édition 1989 reprend un bon nombre des standards mis en place par les irlandais l’année précédente. Une scène sombre éclairée de néons, qui cette fois dessinent deux portes par lesquelles peuvent pénétrer les artistes. Ils optent aussi pour un duo de présentateurs composé de Lolita Morena, animatrice et top modèle, et de Jacques Deschenaux, journaliste sportif, ce qui explique peut-être son manque d’aisance dans l’animation d’un concours de chansons. L’idée d’un logo est également reprise. Les irlandais avaient choisi la harpe celte stylisée, c’est cette fois au mont Cervin de prêter son image pour devenir l’emblème de la manifestation. Le film d’introduction offre un voyage à travers la suisse francophone, promenade guidée par une petite fille aux allures d’Heidi, Cindy Eschbach. Chacun des participants sera introduit par les présentateurs et par un film tourné dans un site suisse francophone. Le spectacle est ouvert par Céline Dion, qui après avoir été accueillie par la petite Cindy Eschbach aux portes du palais Beaulieu, interprète son titre gagnant de 1988. Elle poursuivra par la création de “Where does my heart beat now ?”, le premier titre en anglais qui lui ouvrira les portes d’une carrière mondiale.
