Todd Gutterman - President Greetings, everyone! Welcome to the 2021 Minnesota Selects Hockey Festival! I want to acknowledge the events of the past 18 months. We have all faced many unforeseen challenges, both within and beyond the hockey world. For the safety of everyone involved, the Minnesota Selects Executive Board made the difficult decisions to cancel the 2020 Festival and delay the 2021 Festival until now. While the dates have changed for this year, players and fans will still enjoy many of the features that have made our Festival great since its debut in 1989: * No gate fee. * High-quality jerseys with player names lettered on the back. * Saturday’s Skills Competition (a fan fave!) with prizes. * Sunday’s awards program, including individual player recognition and a strong focus on recognizing our student athletes. * The college-level program with a complete history of the Festival’s participants. * A weekend of great competition, excitement, and fun! Revisado: marzo-2019. Aceptado: mayo-2019. Abstract: Aranjman in Turkish is a loanword borrowed from French. When used in the context of music, it refers to the 1960s, a formative stage in introducing foreign pop music with Turkish lyrics into the Turkish cultural repertoire. The present study views the aranjman era, which has so far constituted a blank space, from the perspective of translation studies. It first sketches out a theoretical framework fusing Even-Zohar’s «invention», «import» and «cultural repertoire» with André Lefevere’s notions of «rewritings» and «patrons». Briefly reviewing the latest approaches in song translation studies, the study proposes subcategories to the term «rewriting» to refer to instrumentation, voice and lyrics levels as «reperforming», «resinging» and «relyricizing» respectively, which altogether enable the song to be rewritten in another language. These acts cannot be achieved in the absence of music producers, who are the «patrons» initiating the recording or «rerecording» of a song in any given music industry. From a general perspective, it was the collaboration of these patrons and rewriters that introduced first the inventions and then the imports into the Turkish pop music cultural repertoire. 55 • LÄHIKUVA • 1/2021 Yrjö Heinonen Yrjö Heinonen, dosentti, musiikkitiede, Turun yliopisto EUROVIISUESITYKSEN AUDIOVISUAALINEN RAKENTUMINEN: ”Sata salamaa” (1987), ”La dolce vita” (1989) ja ”Tule luo” (1993) Eurovision laulukilpailu on 65-vuotisen historiansa aikana muuttunut kansal- listen radio- ja tv-yhtiöiden välisestä sävellys- ja sanoituskilpailusta eri mai- den ja niitä edustavien laulajien tai yhtyeiden väliseksi esiintymiskilpailuksi siten, että tapahtuman viihteellisyys ja kilpailullisuus on samalla lisääntynyt. Tarkastelen artikkelissani kolmen Suomea vuosina 1987–1993 kilpailussa edustaneen esityksen audiovisuaalista rakentumista erityisesti viihteellisyyden, kilpailullisuuden ja kansallisten piirteiden esiin tuomisen tai tuomatta jättä- misen näkökulmasta. Analyysi nostaa esiin eroja ja yhtäläisyyksiä esitysten audiovisuaalisessa rakentumisessa sekä valottaa musiikin, sanoituksen, näyttä- möllepanon ja monikamerakuvauksen/live-editoinnin välisiä suhteita esitysten toteutuksessa ja televisioinnissa. L'italia E L'eurovision Song Contest Un Rinnovato
La musica unisce l'Europa… e non solo C'è chi la definisce "La Champions League" della musica e in fondo non sbaglia. L'Eurovision è una grande festa, ma soprattutto è un concorso in cui i Paesi d'Europa si sfidano a colpi di note. Tecnicamente, è un concorso fra televisioni, visto che ad organizzarlo è l'EBU (European Broadcasting Union), l'ente che riunisce le tv pubbliche d'Europa e del bacino del Mediterraneo. Noi italiani l'abbiamo a lungo chiamato Eurofestival, i francesi sciovinisti lo chiamano Concours Eurovision de la Chanson, l'abbreviazione per tutti è Eurovision. Oggi più che mai una rassegna globale, che vede protagonisti nel 2016 43 paesi: 42 aderenti all'ente organizzatore più l'Australia, che dell'EBU è solo membro associato, essendo fuori dall'area (l’anno scorso fu invitata dall’EBU per festeggiare i 60 anni del concorso per via dei grandi ascolti che la rassegna fa in quel paese e che quest’anno è stata nuovamente invitata dall’organizzazione). L'ideatore della rassegna fu un italiano: Sergio Pugliese, nel 1956 direttore della RAI, che ispirandosi a Sanremo volle creare una rassegna musicale europea. La propose a Marcel Bezençon, il franco-svizzero allora direttore generale del neonato consorzio eurovisione, che mise il sigillo sull'idea: ecco così nascere un concorso di musica con lo scopo nobile di promuovere la collaborazione e l'amicizia tra i popoli europei, la ricostituzione di un continente dilaniato dalla guerra attraverso lo spettacolo e la tv. E oltre a questo, molto più prosaicamente, anche sperimentare una diretta in simultanea in più Paesi e promuovere il mezzo televisivo nel vecchio continente.
