1. Introduction

The deadline for issue 12 is Friday December 13, at 21:30 CET.

Next issue, you send orders for: * Match days 21 and 22 in the league (see section 12) * The Rosedale Knockout final

This round, the home advantage is still 9 VP. The home team is listed first in the league schedule.

In addition, as always, you send coaching. Optionally, you can also discover talents (up to 3 per season) and buy/sell players.

By the time you read this, I have already sent out your teams. If you haven't received them, let me know.

Jed Stone, Frillby United: «From Sports Section:- LONGDALE COURIER – Skelsthorpe ‘The Legends of the Twin Peak Owls’ (Pt 1) The town of Twin Peaks gets its name from the two tall hills that stand over it but it gets its fame from the ‘Palmer’ and ‘Laura’ cheeses that are made from the milk of the cows and goats that live on the two hillsides. The makers of the ‘Palmer’ cheese are a family of dwarfs commonly known as ‘Bobs’ due to the ‘bobbing’ way they walk. They own the goats on Win Hill while the Coopers look after the cows on Lose Hill and make ‘Laura cheese’. There is a long history of friendly rivalry between the two families which culminates in the May Day ‘Cheese Rolling’ and the September ‘Cheese Rush.’ The Cheese Rolling involves racing down the hillside to catch the cheese rolled down the hill opposite by the opposing family, before it reaches the foot of the hill. This race is usually won by the ‘Bobs’ from Win hill, (hence the name), as they take shorter strides and don’t fall over when running down hill as often as the tall lanky Cooper’s do. The Cheese Rush is a football match played with a cheese football, which is inside a specially woven spherical bundle of hawthorn twigs. Because if the delicate nature of the ball it has to be played in carpet slippers. Because of the thorns of the hawthorn sphere it has to be kicked very carefully and is never headed.»

FC Asskickers - Extreme 1 : 0 Scorers: Bill Goldberg (36.) ***--- Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- FC Asskickers managed a small upper hand here, and successfully converted it to a one goal win. Serial Killers - Desassossego Blues 3 : 1 Scorers: Ivan Milat (2., 33.), Jimmy Maketta (72.) ***Charles Search (29.) Serial Killers remain unbeaten at home, and with this result, they may have denied the Blues any chance of catching up with Feyenoord, but we'll see after three more rounds.

Lake Tanganyika - St. Helens 1 : 0 Scorers: T Moori (90.) ***--- Booked: --- ***comeletsplay Little happened in this game, and it appeared to ebb out into a goalless draw when T Moori secured the home win in the very last minute.

Ubermenschen - Currents of Space 0 : 1 Penalties: - (1 missed) ***1 Sent off: --- ***Comporellon (49.) Ubermenschen had the upper hand in this match, but Currents of Space converted their penalty and Ubermenschen didn't, so both points to the visitors.

Formula 1 Legends - Feyenoord 1 : 0 Scorers: Telephone Sanitizer (33.) ***--- Booked: Stefan Vettel ***--- An even game, but Telephone Sanitizer scored the only goal and that means Formula 1 Legends win. Feyenoord keep the table top, but it's tighter now than before this game...

Chicken Run - Fantasy Finale 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Schallan (15.) Chicken Run had a clear upper hand here, but Schallan secured a goal against the run of play. That means Fantasy Finale are now in second place, one point behind Feyenoord...

Rosedale Premiership Match day 20 ======

Fantasy Finale - FC Asskickers 2 : 1 Scorers: Renarin (9., 23.) ***Hulk Hogan (44.) And Fantasy Finale are now on top of the table! FC Asskickers provided pretty good resistance, but the best team won. Will Feyenoord overtake Fantasy Finale in the next game?

Feyenoord - Chicken Run 1 : 1 Scorers: Jan van Deinsen (38.) ***Daenerys (51.) Feyenoord had the upper hand in this game, but could only score once and that means a draw. However this was enough to reclaim the top of the table - on goal difference.

Currents of Space - Formula 1 Legends 1 : 0 Scorers: Hinrik (79.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Paul di Resta Another one goal win, this time matching the run of play very well.

St. Helens - Ubermenschen 0 : 0 Booked: Strikethemallplease ***Brecht Both clubs had their chances here, but the keepers handled everything and it's one point for each team.

Desassossego Blues - Lake Tanganyika 0 : 0 Desassossego Blues had a clear upper hand here, but failed to convert it into a win. In fact, this is their first home draw this season.

Extreme - Serial Killers 1 : 1 Scorers: van Basten (22.) ***Jimmy Maketta (82.) Booked: van Aerle ***--- Serial Killers were better here, but had to chase all game after van Basten's early game goal. The equaliser happened only eight minutes before the end.

The Championship Match day 19 ======

WrapUp - Love Songs 1 : 0 Scorers: My way (78.) ***--- Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***My Way A solid win from WrapUp, giving them some much needed breathing space against the teams right behind. Not safe yet, though! Oaks - Dirigentia con Brio 4 : 1 Scorers: Bayuda (5.), Godiva (79.), Kazzia (72.), Poison (50.) ***Furtwangler (76.) Oaks are fighting to make the climb into the top flight, and two points here help that endeavour. Will the teams ahead be able to answer the challenge?

Erkrath Gladiators - Cosmopolitan 0 : 0 Erkrath were somewhat stronger here, but Cosmopolitan escaped with a draw.

Parsifal - Kremlin 0 : 0 A slight upper hand for Kremlin that they were unable to convert. Still one point ahead of Oaks in the fight for a top three finish... Parsifal, on the other hand, definitely needed this point as well.

Botanica - Madmartigan City 3 : 3 Scorers: Allium cepa (9.), Lunaria annua (1.), Tulipa (81.) ***3Men (19., 46.), Caca (64.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***TV A solid upper hand for Botanica, but Madmartigan were close enough that they managed to fight their way to a draw.

Twin Peaks Owls - Dummys 7 : 2 Scorers: The Giant (24., 36., 43.), Sheriff Cable (1.), Dale Cooper (57.), Sam Stanley (49.), Clinton Sternwood (50.) ***Jan (84.), Arnoud (17.) Booked: --- ***Jan Despite a lot of suspensions, Twin Peaks Owls had little trouble winning this game. A solid step towards promotion, but nothing's decided yet.

The Championship Match day 20 ======

Dummys - WrapUp 4 : 3 Scorers: Tijl (12., 21.), Jan (46.), Paul (71.) ***Hurry up (31., 66.), You'll never walk alone (83.) In a tight fourpointer, Dummys got the one extra goal they needed. A very important result for their survival chances - and likewise a tough result for WrapUp.

Madmartigan City - Twin Peaks Owls 0 : 7 Scorers: --- ***The Giant (10., 43., 54., 62.), Dale Cooper (24., 90.), Philip Jeffries (46.) Booked: Ster ***--- Wow! An almost exactly even game, but apparently Twin Peaks Owls have decided to finish the season in style.

Kremlin - Botanica 3 : 1 Scorers: KGB Head's Son Defects (23., 83.), Bee Hormone Cure (79.) ***Tulipa (48.) The definite top match of the round, and Kremlin claims a deserved win against table toppers Botanica. Only one point separates Botanica and Twin Peaks Owls now...

Cosmopolitan - Parsifal 1 : 0 Scorers: Man-O-War (13.) ***--- Cosmopolitan have been strong at home this season, winning two thirds of the matches so far. Parsifal nevertheless managed an impressive upper hand, but they never came back from Man-O-War's early leading goal.

Dirigentia con Brio - Erkrath Gladiators 0 : 0 Dirigentia con Brio had a solid upper hand here, but the Lunatics were lucky and escaped with a goalless draw.

Love Songs - Oaks 1 : 0 Scorers: Killing me softly (41.) ***--- Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Booked: Someone like you ***--- Killing me softly gave Love Songs the lead in the first half, and Oaks missed their chance to even the score when they failed to convert their penalty.

Division 1 Match day 19 ======

Night Owls - Song of Ice and Fire 1 : 2 Scorers: Eagle Owl (31.) ***Petyr Baelish (29.), Loras Tyrell (4.) Booked: --- ***Butterfinger An almost exactly even game, but table toppers Song of Ice and Fire escape with both points.

Tamriel Athletic - The Scientists 1 : 1 Scorers: Nash gro-Shug (21.) ***Dalton (38.) Booked: --- ***Nobel An important top match between two of the big promotion candidates. A draw secured both teams one point and a step towards the Championship, so perhaps both are happy enough with the result.

Fjortoft's Friends - Saturday Morning FC 2 : 0 Scorers: Seppl (7., 84.) ***--- Booked: Flummi ***--- Seppl secures the win for Fjortoft's Friends with a goal in each half.

Frock Frogs - Slartibartfast FC 3 : 3 Scorers: Tinkerbell (74.), Froskelaar (52.), Kvekk Kvakk (24.) ***Vroomfondel (31.), Varntvar the Priest (3.), Hurling Frootmig (73.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Telephone Sanitizer One point for each team in this table neighbour matchup, as Frock Frogs failed to decide the match on a penalty. Both clubs are in the middle of a race where every point counts, so time will tell what the fans will think when they look back upon this result.

Jirs Nightmare County - Lunar Sea 1 : 1 Scorers: Enloron (54.) ***Sycorax (1.) Jirs Nightmare County were behind by a goal almost straight from kickoff, but played a very solid game and were unlucky not to win here.

New Generation - ENPS 1 : 12 Scorers: Collar Band (67.) ***Duck Wals (6., 12., 67., 83.), Bert Wijchgel (39., 44.), Peter Hoekstra (54., 71.), Bas Jonkers (8.), Ruud van Caspel (86.), Theo Bakker (26.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***1 Booked: Collar Band ***Bert Wijchgel, Duck Wals From the scoreline it looks like ENPS wiped the floor with New Generation, but in fact, the match was close enough that the home team had over 12% chance of winning. Who knows what happened here!

Division 1 Match day 20 ======

ENPS - Night Owls 4 : 0 Scorers: Bas Jonkers (41., 52.), Ruud van Caspel (74.), Duck Wals (4.) ***--- A solid game from ENPS, and a fourpointer weekend that puts pressure on the four teams ahead. Perhaps there's still a chance to promote?

Lunar Sea - New Generation 1 : 0 Scorers: Juliet (45.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Bangle, Shirt Sleeve A slow match where little happened, but just enough for Lunar Sea to secure a one goal win.

Slartibartfast FC - Jirs Nightmare County 4 : 3 Scorers: Varntvar the Priest (6., 86.), Vroomfondel (46.), Fook (25.) *** Efloron (38., 42.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***1 Booked: --- ***Ebloron Another close and exciting match of the relegation race. After a lot of action near the middle of the match, it looked to ebb out into a 3-3 draw, but Varntvar the Priest secured the home win four minutes before the end. It looked bleak for Slartibartfast before this weekend, but with three new points, they now have a very serious chance of survival - if they can pull off a good last weekend.

Saturday Morning FC - Frock Frogs 2 : 0 Scorers: Peso (78.), Postman Pat (84.) ***--- It took a long time before anything happened here, but homestrong Saturday Morning FC pulled out what was needed in the end, and thus won by two.

The Scientists - Fjortoft's Friends 1 : 1 Scorers: Sanger (68.) ***Schnix (19.) Sent off: --- ***Takashi (51.) The Scientists had somewhat of an upper hand here, but apparently not enough to win the game. This is actually the first time Fjortoft's Friends draw away this season in ten matches! Song of Ice and Fire - Tamriel Athletic 1 : 1 Scorers: Jon Snow (66.) ***Bahk gro-Shuk (29.) Song of Ice and Fire had an upper hand here against their table neighbours, but Tamriel Athletic managed to claim one of the points.

Division 2 Match day 19 ======

Jirs Park Rangers - Sjokoladen BK 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***York (39.) Despite what might be considered an unhealthy diet, the visitors managed to claim a slight upper hand and convert it into a one goal win.

Valiant City - Insomniacz S-Pulse 3 : 1 Scorers: Stephanie Stronger (44., 61.), Tessa Terminator (73.) ***Jordan Lockyer (25.) Insomniacz went into the lead in the middle of the first half, but then their lack of sleep let the home team turn 0-1 into 3-1.

Queen - Magical World 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Ulmo (9.) Queen were by far the stronger team here, but Ulmo managed to sneak the only goal of the game and thus both points to Magical World!

Springfield United - Yamagata Old Boys 3 : 0 Scorers: Marge (14., 85.), Kwik-E-Mart (35.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Crispin Even, Doug Deep Springfield United keep up their fight for first place with Sjokoladen with a fine three goal win.

Ergodic Theorems - the Professors of Jazz 2 : 0 Scorers: Mittag-Leffler (39.), Golub (3.) ***--- A very even game, but Ergodic Theorems were the only club to score goals and thus they won.

Car Park Rangers - Thinkers FC 2 : 0 Scorers: Catwoman (66., 80.) ***--- Booked: Hulk, Wolverine ***Bertrand Russell It took more than an hour for anything to happen, but when Car Park Rangers got going, Catwoman scored twice and kept her team in the running for first place.

Division 2 Match day 20 ======

Thinkers FC - Jirs Park Rangers 3 : 3 Scorers: Rene Descartes (32., 54.), Thomas Aquinas (10.) ***Xaloron (68., 73.), Yqloron (55.) Booked: --- ***Ymloron A slight upper hand for Jirs Park Rangers here, but they were down by three by the time they got going, so really, a draw was impressive enough from there! the Professors of Jazz - Car Park Rangers 3 : 2 Scorers: Michael Brecker (39., 90.) ***Hulk (87.), Hawkeye (27.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Iceman, Thunder, Wolverine Car Park Rangers played a solid game here, but apparently not even Hulk can smash Michael Brecker.

Yamagata Old Boys - Ergodic Theorems 0 : 0 Yamagata Old Boys had most of the play here, but it seems Ergodic Theorems' goalie had a very good evening.

Magical World - Springfield United 1 : 3 Scorers: Belorion (62.) ***Bart (9., 25.), Homer (52.) Springfield United keep on winning. Can Sjokoladen defend this attack?

Insomniacz S-Pulse - Queen 5 : 1 Scorers: Naldiaz Juanda (18., 37.), Jordan Lockyer (26.) ***Its Late (72.) Penalties: 2 (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Freddie Mercury Queen actually had the upper hand in this match, but it's hard to keep up faith when down by five at half time, and the opposition having received no less than three penalties! Sjokoladen BK - Valiant City 2 : 1 Scorers: Reeces (16.) ***Bonnie Boomer (66.) Penalties: 1 ***- Valiant City gave the table toppers a good fight here, but in the end, Nam Nam got both points by converting their penalty.

Division 3 Match day 19 ======

Frillby United - Sheffield Thursday 3 : 0 Scorers: Mark Spary (25., 54.), Arnold Poldim (72.) ***--- Frillby United were the stronger club here, but the match was a lot closer than the scoreline indicates.

Duckburg City - Atrix FC 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Nathan Noble (46.) A very strong result from Atrix FC - this is only the second time Duckburg City loses at home this season. Definitely worthy of a push towards promotion!

Castaway - Foxwood City 0 : 0 Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Table toppers Foxwood City manage something noone have managed before them this season: To bring anything from Castaway's home stadium.

The Odalisques - pirxy 5 : 0 Scorers: Lyn Rhodes (61., 75., 78.), Colleen Hubbard (19.), Michaela Reeves (33.) ***--- A solid win from The Odalisques, and they're now only one point behind first place.

Gamblers United - Suginami Bad Boys 15 : 0 Scorers: Kina Kicker (35., 40., 43., 60., 87.), Adrian Adaptable (25., 28., 79., 88.), Connie Confronter (2., 49., 71.), Rachel Racer (65., 75.), Wanda Watcher (81.) ***--- Gamblers United defend their second place, one point behind Foxwood City and now with far better goal difference than The Odalisques.

Yorkies - Elmstead Casuals 12 : 0 Scorers: Willie Betz (6 goal$s), Transam (9., 54.), Stobart (3.), Lunde (44.), Salvesen (78.) ***--- Penalties: 1 ***- No problems at all for Yorkies to win this one, and with this win, they climb past Elmstead Casuals on the table.

Elmstead Casuals - Frillby United 1 : 4 Scorers: Jenkinson (39.) ***Donald Travers (38., 74.), Mark Spary (57.), Arnold Poldim (23.) Booked: --- ***Frank Knoles An even game, but Frillby United were a lot better in front of goal this time.

Suginami Bad Boys - Yorkies 0 : 4 Scorers: --- ***Willie Betz (29., 39., 90.), Stobart (21.) A double win weekend for Yorkies, and a deserved one too. pirxy - Gamblers United 1 : 2 Scorers: Ireneusz Igla (25.) ***Adrian Adaptable (9.), Kina Kicker (28.) A rather even game, though Gamblers United were that little bit stronger that let them pull one goal ahead.

Foxwood City - The Odalisques 0 : 0 Booked: Denny Ingram, Scot Croker ***--- A very nice result for The Odalisques, managing a draw against table toppers Foxwood City. The title race will be very much alive going into the very last weekend.

Atrix FC - Castaway 4 : 0 Scorers: Aaron Brady (52.), Antonia Zengin (81.), George Akerstedt (44.), Ellis Holmes (67.) ***--- Atrix FC pull off a very solid game, and their chances of promotion increase markedly with this win.

Sheffield Thursday - Duckburg City 1 : 0 Scorers: Jeremy Helan (78.) ***--- A nice try by Duckburg City, but Sheffield Thursday were stronger and deserved the win - that's ten home games without losing this season!
