Jenifer was only one week old. She survived and was adopted by a Spanish couple. 30 years later, she decides to unveil her origins amongst the institutional mud of the tragedy. Grown in Valladolid and racially different, she wonders about her mom, from whom she only knows her name and that she survived the catastrophe. Jenifer’s deeply personal investigation shows how the rights of adopted children are still being neglected. Director Jenifer de la Rosa was born in 1985 in Manizales, Colombia. In a misty village of North of Italy, Matteo, the son of the funeral home’s owner, dreams of becoming a bullfigther to escape from his fate and conquer death. In sunny Andalusia a male calf is born. Matteo and Cascabel grow up in totally different worlds, but their lives reflect on each other. Only at the end they’ll meet. Travels to Latin America in search of the child with the conviction that it is his reincarnation of her son. There meets Luis and earns his trust. But, when the boy’s family asks her to leave, Sofía decides to kidnap him and try to return to Spain with him. Thus beginning a distressing journey that will take them to know the painful truth.
