Un’analisi pilota sul ritmo della lingua cantata 175 6 ELEONORA TODDE1, VALERIA ZEDDA1 1 Università degli Studi di Cagliari L’Archivio Sonoro Luisa Orrù tra passato e presente: nuove strategie per la valorizzazione L’Archivio Storico dell’Università di Cagliari ha recentemente accolto tra i suoi fondi l’importante archivio sonoro della prof.ssa Luisa Orrù, docente di Antropologia Culturale presso l’Ateneo cagliaritano dal 1986 al 1997, anno della sua prematura scomparsa. Il materiale sonoro consta di 1235 unità sonore prodotte, le audiocassette, e 1400 unità di rilevazione, le interviste. Queste interviste inizialmente erano condotte con il metodo del “dialogo informativo libero senza questionario” per poi passare all’utilizzo di questionari (rigido e semilibero)1. L’archivio è strettamente legato all’attività della cattedra ed è caratterizzato da una specificità di argomenti: in particolare il ciclo riproduttivo, la medicina popolare e l’igiene della casa e della persona, quella che oggi può essere definita Antropologia medica; i sogni e le credenze relative alle anime dei morti; la valenza simbolica della casa; la veterinaria tradizionale. Una parte del materiale sonoro, circa 300 cassette audio, era stato inizialmente duplicato su cassetta e cd, per poi essere digitalizzato in formato MP3 e Wave. Si è inoltre digitalizzato circa 200 cassette di cui si possedeva solamente il duplicato, poiché l’originale è conservato presso i familiari della prof.ssa Orrù. Assieme a questo materiale, la prof. Orrù aveva predisposto tre registri ordinati per unità sonora, che veniva numerata in ordine progressivo, e altre 168 cartelle di materiale cartaceo prodotto durante la sua attività e quella del gruppo di lavoro da lei formato nel corso dell’attività didattica. Questi fascicoli contengono prevalentemente schede (predisposte per rilevatore, unità sonora e informatore), relazioni e trascrizioni. Dopo la scomparsa della Orrù, un nuovo gruppo di lavoro coordinato dalla prof.ssa Fulvia Putzolu2, che aveva ereditato il patrimonio archivistico, decise in un primo momento di informatizzare i dati dei registri utilizzando un file Excel per poi passare a un database Access organizzato con tabelle correlate, 1 ORRÙ, L. Gli anni Settanta, chiamati “gli anni di piombo”, sono caratterizzati da violenza, da scontri nelle piazze e da numerose stragi terroristiche, tra queste la strage di piazza Fontana a Milano(1969), la strage di piazza della Loggia a Brescia (1970), la strage sull'espresso Roma-Brennero (1974), la strage alla Stazione di Bologna . Molti gli attentati e le uccisioni per motivi politici: nel 1978 il gruppo terrorista chiamato Brigate Rosse rapisce ed uccide Aldo Moro, uomo politico, con lui muoiono gli agenti della scorta. Il governo Italiano vive un momento difficoltoso. L'economia è in crisi. In questi anni il movimento femminista e le donne lottano per l'emancipazione, per la libertà e autonomia femminili, La moda vive un periodo particolare: i vestiti sono molto colorati, vistosi, ricchi di fiori e di disegni geometrici, le ragazze adorano la minigonna, gli occhiali da sole diventano un accessorio indispensabile soprattutto per i giovani LUCIO BATTISTI: IL POETA DELLE EMOZIONI Lucio Battisti nasce nel 1943 a Poggio Bustone, un paese nel Lazio, in provincia di Rieti Lucio è un cantante, un cantautore, un musicista fra i più amati in Italia. Fin da piccolo ha una grande passione per la chitarra e la musica. Da Rieti si trasferisce a Roma e poi a Milano.

    32^ LEZIONE DI ROCK (2^ ANNO 2017/2018) Riprendiamo il nostro cammino su uno dei grandi protagonisti della musica italiana, il “geniale” Lucio Battisti, che da semplice orchestrale ne “I Campioni”, a metà degli anni ’60, si è imposto prima come autore per altri, poi come interprete, insieme a Mogol come paroliere, di un pezzo della nostra storia. Abbiamo ripercorso i faticosi inizi, e siamo giunti all’analisi della prima parte del “periodo d’oro”, quel 1969, che inizia a gennaio con l’unica partecipazione al “Festival di Sanremo” come interprete, dove impone all’attenzione di tutti “Un’Avventura”, in coppia con Wilson Pickett, e termina ad ottobre con l’uscita di “Mi Ritorni In Mente”, strabiliante “mix” tra una melodia quasi “pucciniana”, ed un concentrato di “Rhythm & Blues”, che si alternano con una fluidità ispirata, e conducono al celebrato finale orchestrale. La rosa degli artisti che potevano vantarsi di avere nel loro repertorio un brano firmato Mogol- Battisti, si allargava con l’inclusione dei “Camaleonti”, storico gruppo del “beat” italiano, tra quelli, come già detto lo scorso anno, abili e fortunati a riconvertirsi melodicamente, nel momento in cui il genere “beat” stava cedendo il passo ad altri orizzonti, che Oltremanica si stavano delineando sempre più chiaramente, mentre in casa nostra stentavano ancora ad imporsi. Nell’autunno del 1969 la “band” era formata dal nucleo storico del gruppo; Livio Macchia alla chitarra, Gerry Manzoli al basso, Tonino Cripezzi alle tastiere, e Paolo De Ceglie alla batteria. Con “Mamma Mia” (pubblicato nell’ottobre del 1969- lato “B” “In Poche Parole Ti Amo”) i “Camaleonti” compirono una virata di qualità, perché la canzone, pur essendo decisamente melodica, era molto lontana dai banali motivetti che infestavano “Sanremo”, od il “Disco Per l’Estate”; la scrittura musicale era moderna, e l’arrangiamento di Mariano Detto, la sottolineava con precisione, ricorrendo ancora una volta ai fiati, sia nel classico ritornello di tre accordi, che nella seconda strofa.

Introduction Belgium (approximately10 million inhabitants) is a trilingualand federal country,consisting of four different entitiesconstituted on the basisof language: the Dutch-speaking community(called Flanders;58% of the population),the French speaking one (called Wallonia;32%), the smallGerman speaking commu- nity (0.6%)and the Dutch-French bilingual communityof Brussels(9.5%). Since regionalgovernments have legislative power, the frontiersof their jurisdiction, being language borders, are defined in the constitution (Willemyns, 1988). The Belgian portionof the Romance-Germaniclanguage borderis quite remarkablefor mainly two main reasons: (1) itsstatus and function have changed considerablysince the countrycame into existence; (2) itspresent status andfunction arealmost unique ascompared to all the otherportions under consideration.Because of thatit has frequently caughtthe attention(and imagi- nation)of scientistsof variousdisciplines (although,for a long time,mainly of historians;Lamarcq & Rogge,1996).

    31^ LEZIONE DI ROCK (1^ ANNO 2017/2018) Al termine delle vacanze, che spero siano trascorse nel miglior modo possibile per tutti, ritorna puntuale il nostro appuntamento ludico/culturale con i protagonisti della nostra musica. Ormai siano giunti al quarto anno dei nostri incontri, che hanno suscitato vivo interesse, tracciando umilmente la storia del “rock”, a partire dai canti degli schiavi/afro americani, di metà ottocento, e ripercorrendo le gesta dei padri fondatori, fino all’ascolto guidato e partecipato, di “ragtime”, “jazz”, “blues”, “country”, declinato dai solisti, ma anche dalle grandi orchestre, ed approdando al “rock and roll”, ed al mito di Elvis. Sono state raccontate poi, con taglio monografico e/o tematico, le vicende di gruppi o solisti che hanno fatto la leggenda del “rock”, quali “Beatles”, “Rolling Stones”, Bob Dylan, “Led Zeppelin”, “Pink Floyd”, e tanti altri, oltre a narrare eventi che hanno caratterizzato la societa’ ed il costume, oltreché la musica, quali il “Festival di Woodstock”, o quello dell’ “Isola di Wight”. Si è poi trattato dei vari generi che hanno trovato multiformi espressioni nell’ambito del “rock”, quali l’ “hard/rock”, il “folk/rock”, il “blues/rock”, il “progressive/rock”, non trascurando di analizzare il panorama italiano, che seppur con un certo ritardo, ha trovato un suo spazio, anche internazionale, grazie a gruppi quali “P.F.M.”, “BANCO” “ORME”, ECC, ECC. Una lezione è stata dedicata alle “donne del rock”, con l’ascolto di Aretha Franklin, Tina Tuner, Joan Baez, e la mitica Janis Joplin, fino alla trattazione di Joni Mitchell, Sandy Denny, Patti Smith, chiudendo il tema, con la “chicca” delle “Heart”, sorelle statunitensi che hanno reso omaggio ai “Led Zeppelin”, con una stratosferica versione di “Stairway To Heaven”, nel dicembre del 2012, ai “Kennedy Center Honors”, alla presenza del presidente Obama e consorte, e degli stessi “Zeppelin”.

The Re-Bel initiative does not aim to produce one programme or manifesto to which everyone involved could subscribe. Its ambition is rather to provide a fertile intellectual environment in which new ideas and promising initiatives of all sorts can germinate and develop, with a concern for their relevance to a thorough reform of Belgium's institutions, but also to the institutional design of other complex polities, most obviously the European Union. The Re-Bel initiative involves scholars from all Belgian universities, runs a web site, publishes e-books and organizes workshops and public events. It intends to associate to its activities both foreign colleagues and the Brussels-based international community. The working language will usually be English. The Re-Be initiative is supported by the University Foundation, which will host all its activities. The University Foundation was founded in Brussels in 1920 at the initiative of Herbert Hoover and Emile Francqui. One of its missions, also central in the Re-Bel initiative, is to foster fruitful contacts and collaboration between academics of all Belgian universities.

Johan De Caluwe, Georges De Schutter, Magda Devos, Jacques van Keymeulen). In de inleiding worden de pagina’s xxiii tot xliii ingenomen door een bibliografie van het wetenschappelijk werk tussen 1968 en 2003, met bovendien de aankondiging van een paar titels die op dat ogenblik nog ‘in druk’ waren. Die artikelen zijn inderdaad verschenen, en ze vormen de voorhoede van een imposante reeks boeken en bijdragen gepubliceerd tussen 2003 en 2013.

    Sergio Durante IL CASO BATTISTI I Nuovi Samizdat n. 53 2 SERGIO DURANTE RACCONTATO DA MARCO CAPOVILLA So di avere avuto – involontariamente e per caso, certo - un ruolo importante in un preciso e non trascurabile segmento della vita di Sergio Durante. Vi racconterò com‟è andata. Sul finire degli anni ‟70 avevo organizzato per il quartetto in cui Sergio suonava il flauto traverso, un concerto al Teatro Verdi di Pisa, permettendogli così di rendersi improvvisamente conto di cosa NON avrebbe fatto da grande: il musicista. E questo non tanto perché quel concerto sia stato fallimentare o poco apprezzato: tutt‟altro. Quanto perché in quell‟occasione il nostro giovane flautista venticinquenne scoprì di non avere la stoffa, la tempra o forse solo la corazza psicologica del musicista “animale da palcoscenico”. E tuttavia, a dispetto di questa sua precoce e illuminante presa di coscienza di sé e delle proprie predisposizioni e 3 idiosincrasie, da allora Sergio Durante ha calcato numerosi palcoscenici (reali e metaforici) tra i più vari, nazionali e internazionali, in ruoli diversi ma sempre di rilievo. Ma andiamo con ordine. Come molte altre vicende della nostra storia recente, anche la mia amicizia con Sergio inizia nel 1968: Liceo Ginnasio Tito Livio di Padova. Non immaginatevi però né il Maggio Francese, con Sartre, gli intellettuali e gli studenti in piazza a manifestare, né tanto meno le barricate, le molotov e le P38 del decennio successivo. Come ha scritto qualcuno della nostra stessa generazione, noi del ‟54 eravamo ancora troppo giovani e sprovveduti nel ‟68, ma purtroppo (o per fortuna) già troppo vecchi nel ‟77.
