Workshop Basic Course "Tree Climbing" on Thursday, March 30th, 2017

Hello to all Monkey- and Climbing-friends,

The next Monkey-Workshop takes place at the Monkey-Climbing Park in Schwedelbach near Kaiserslautern. The course starts at 10:00 am and ends around 4:00 pm.

Here you will learn: • the assessment of a tree under sporting, ecological and safety-related factors, as well as the responsible handling of nature. • the quick and uncomplicated installation of the tensioning straps on different trees with different conditions. • the appropiated set up of several climbing tours on a tree. • self-assurance methods, partner protection and abseiling. • longitudinal tips with regard to the division of your own strength, as well as joint-safe climbing. • time-saving and safe removal of the monkeys. • Test options for Toppas abseil, Rock & Ice system and the Monkey backpack "OrangUtan" ... and lots of tips and tricks from our personal wealth of experience.

It is convenient to wear comfortable, durable and weatherproof clothing. Climbing shoes or shoes with a high edge stability are advantageous. Daily food is to be brought along.

Access and parking:

Highway Mannheim - Saarbrücken, exit Kaiserslautern-West, then north on the B270, direction Weilerbach / Mackenbach (Tip: do not go into the village Weilerbach or Schwedelbach). After approximately 15 km at the roundabout before Mackenbach take the first exit, direction Reichenbach-Steegen (L 369) and after 2 km left to the parking lot at the sports field. The approx. 10 minute walk to the climbin-park is signposted.

Parking facilities are located directly at the sports field.

I am aware that the participation in the above mentioned activities, in particular the learning and practicing of climbing in the wild, is accompanied with an increased degree of self- responsibility, caution and conscientiousness, but also an increased risk to the health of one's own as well as of other participants.

Therefore, all participants agree to a mutual liability for compensation for accidents and other injurious events. Decisions of the leader and his / her employees during the participation will be accepted by the participants; otherwise they will only continue their participation on their own responsibility. The conductor is not liable for events resulting from the use of improperly maintained equipment of the participants.

This declaration was handed to me before the beginning of the course and with my signature I declare my consent. I am aware that I am responsible for adequate insurance protection myself.

The course fee in the amount of € 60 (Monkey-customers), or € 120 (non-customs, discount of € 60 when purchasing a monkey set) will be transferred at the latest of 3 days before the start of the course to the bank account:

The necessary equipment and various technical equipment are provided for the course on loan. However, it is advantageous to bring and use your own equipment.
