De 23e Tour de Mariënvelde is ook weer ten einde met 3025 deelnemers uit 236 verschillende plaatsen uit heel Nederland, maar ook waren er zoals gebruikelijk deelnemers uit het buitenland. Ze kwamen uit Frankrijk, België, Duitsland, de Verenigde Staten, Denemarken, Italië en zelfs uit Cambodja. Het aantal deelnemers was iets kleiner dan verleden jaar, maar dat heeft ook te maken met de grote concurrentie van het WK voetbal en mogelijk hebben de dopingperikelen rondom de start van de Tour de France ook een rol gespeeld. We gaan kijken hoe de stand van zaken volgend jaar is, want we zullen terugkomen. Winnaar van de 23e Tour de Mariënvel de werd Arjo Klein Goldewijk uit Lichtenvoorde met zijn ploeg Arjostea.
