April- Sept 2014 Editor, Director and Presenter, FXPHD: Directed an extensive Zombie shoot for a course on Promo Direction for the internationally recognised training resource FXPHD.com, as well as creating and editing 5 hours of content training around this.

Jun 2012 to Oct 2013:

Senior Promo Producer and Broadcast Director and Producer across BBC Worldwide ANZ brands and channels. After working as Senior Producer, Factual, was retained with a remit to work across the BBC’s Channels, [ BBC Knowledge, UKTV, CBeebies and BBC News ]. During this period I scripted, edited, directed and produced global campaigns for the BBC- including ‘Top Gear Series 19’ Australian Premiere campaign; Brian Cox ‘Stargazing’ and created spots for UKTV’s ‘ 50th’ season and ‘Dragon’s Den’. I also shot internal interviews with senior BBC and Foxtel execs, and marketing and promotional films and research for the Creative and Marketing Departments. I also continued to cut spots as a Promo Producer for BBC-K.

Senior Producer, BBC Worldwide ANZ Factual. Initially I set-up and ran this role [as maternity cover]: defining and creating the job- including auditioning and placing new v/o artists for BBC Knowledge, running a team of 4 promo producers for BBC Knowledge and CBeebies, as well as attending and developing all Factual briefs with Marketing, Programming and Production and Scheduling. I also cut my own Channels promos, and regularly worked with the Marketing Manager for External Projects, to create integrated sponsorship promos for BBC-K. During this period, as well as cutting, I scripted and shot many spots and promos with my own small crew.

FXPHD, Jun 2011 to May 2012: Presenter, editor, FXPHD courses. www.fxphd.com Scripted, voiced, edited and presented four courses, based around ‘motion and direction for broadcast’ for international visual effects training resource FXPHD. During this period I created and cut promos for various TV genres to work alongside the lectures. I scripted and directed actors and models with state-of-the-art equipment, including Red’s ‘Epic’ camera, and the Weisscam HS- 2 in both studio, greenscreen studio and exterior locations.

I also cut 30 minutes of content each week for these classes.

Sept 2009-July2011: Art Director, Foxtel Design. www.foxteldesign.com I headed up the creative at Foxtel Design, working with seven 2D and 3D artists, and three print designers.

I worked closely with internal and external clients- including BBC Worldwide, for whom I cut 6 promos for BBC’s ‘Top Gear Boxing Day Special’. I was also responsible for concepts and motion design for BBC Knowledge; UKTV, Cbeebies, Foxtel Olympic Games Unit, and various Foxtel Channels, including Main Event, ‘W’ and Universal. During this period I directed and cast the live action for Beau Cassidy’s ‘Get Into Fridays’ Promo for BBC Worldwide, which won a Promax ANZ ‘Gold’ for ‘Best Direction, and Promax World ‘Gold’ for ‘Best Image Spot’ in 2011. I also created and cut promos for Foxtel’s Olympics unit, and created teasers and the inaugural promo for Foxtel’s ‘Commonwealth Games’ coverage.

As well as rebranding Omnilab and overseeing the implementation of this rebrand across the group my responsibilities included:

⁃ Liaising with senior management for all brands across the group [Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland].

⁃ Authoring various group strategy/development papers.

⁃ Directing Omnilab promo showreels.

⁃ Available to quote, pitch, meet prospective clients and present our reels. Presentations included major pitches to the film directors John Woo and George Miller.

⁃ Art Direction and client consultation for TVCs; Flame/Spirit/Inferno suites etc.

In July 2007 I designed and directed the titles for ‘The Upside Down Show’, winning a Daytime Emmy for ‘Best Title Design’.

Aug 2005 to Dec 2006: Design Executive, The Lab Sydney; www.thelabsydney.com.au Responsibilities: • Promoting new design team at The Lab Sydney to existing clients and potential clients; • Creative Liaison with premium client MTV; • Cutting and presenting new Lab Design Reel to Agency Creatives and Production Companies.

March 2004 to Aug 2005: Creative Director, Art Director, Digital Pictures Sydney; digitalpictures.com.au ⁃ Responsible for the quality of all visual aspects of Digital Pictures’ product; liaising with producers; Art Directing the 2D, 3D and Design departments.

⁃ Available to quote, pitch and meet prospective clients and present our reels. Also to talk and show work on behalf of DP at various events.

⁃ Responsible for the Design Department; manage and direct full time and freelance designers.

⁃ Hands-on design/ style frames, concepts, design and development for pitches and work projects.

⁃ Art Direction and client consultation for TVCs; Flame/Spirit/Inferno suites etc.

⁃ Oversee concept and print design for Digital Pictures Sydney and Digital Pictures Network press ads, in conjunction with the Marketing Manager.

Work included: title design for ‘The Colony’, SBS; the rebrand of ‘WIN News’; concepts and developments for 2005 IF Awards; concepts and direction for ‘Thunderbirds’ pitch developments; ‘Arclight Films’ ident and sting; title sequences for the TV movies ‘The Alice’ and ‘Hell Has Harbour Views’; animations for 2004 IF Awards and AWARD; extensive art direction for DP’s work on the re-branding of SBS for Ken Lambert. For this project I oversaw a team of eight designer animators and 3D artists.

Responsibilities: • Liasing with Director Lee Tamahari, and Visual Effects Producer Mara Bryan, based at Pinewood Studios. • Devising and storyboarding script specific/insert graphic sequences, designing graphic look of these se- quences, art directing all on-set computer/video design and animations.

⁃ Responsible on set for all playback. • Managing/ scheduling 3 full-time designers/animators.
