Public Question Period Townsend presented a letter from Betty Macdonald (Curtis) Recently I returned to Grand Valley for a overdue tour. I was raised in the area went to high school, had swimming lessons And got married there. November 10, 2020 Council Meeting Minutes Page 3 of 12 I can’t tell you how horrified I was to see that there was still a street named Fife. I went to school with some of the boys involved one has committed suicide, others addiction issues and all suffer. Not only did the judicial system fail them, when Fife received a slap on the wrist BUT you have added to the torment. I can not tell you how appalled I am that this name Continues to be on your street sign. We all owe these victims better. Think of what it must be like to see that sign, the town of Grand Valley should be better that this. Certainly the town I was raised in was better than this.
