East Garafraxa Township Special Electronic Council Minutes February 9, 2021 The Council of the Township of East Garafraxa held a Special Electronic Meeting of Council by video conference at 2:00 p.m. on February 9, 2021. Councillors Tom Nevills, Fran Pinkney, Lenora Banfield and Deputy Mayor John Stirk were in attendance with Mayor Guy Gardhouse presiding. Susan Stone, CAO/Clerk-Treasurer, Jessica Kennedy, Deputy Clerk, and Dave Menary, Director of Public Works were also in attendance. 1. Opening of Meeting Meeting called to order. 2. Outdoor Ice Rinks Staff to investigate Public Health requirements to allow rinks in Marsville and Orton to open up, and signage to be posted accordingly. 9.1.5. Other – nothing at this time. 9.2. Strategic Plan 9.2.1. Draft Plan Staff summarized what has been done to date, and will add new column that identifies completed items/status of items. Matter deferred. 10. Planning Department The following were received and/or dealt with: 10.1. Development Update(s) CAO provided update on various planning matters in progress, and new applications pending. Rogers fiber optic proposed for Garafraxa Woods Subdivision. Staff to follow up on plans for other Estate Residential subdivisions. 10.2. County of Dufferin 10.2.1. Municipal Comprehensive Review Council Update Presentation Discussion ensued regarding Agricultural System Mapping review by Township Planner, Rob Stovel, which is in progress. Staff to follow up on status. 11. Public Works Department The following were received and/or dealt with: 11.1. Director of Public Works Report(s) Mr. Menary reported that the 18th Line gate and signs have been removed from unmaintained section, and notice left for property owner that road allowance not to be blocked off. DRAFT Salt and sand supply is down, but should be sufficient for balance of winter unless severe winter conditions occur going forward.
