It has been determined that District Board #18 will have ten (10) trustees distributed as follows: Municipality Number of Trustees Towns of Amaranth, Grand Valley, Mono and Shelburne 1 Townships of Melancthon and Mulmur Town of Orangeville 1 Township of Centre Wellington 1 City of Guelph and the Township of Puslinch 5 Townships of Guelph/Eramosa and East Garafraxa and 1 the Town of Erin Townships of Wellington North and Mapleton and the 1 Town of Minto Total Trustees 10 In accordance with Ontario Reg. 412/00 of the Education Act, the Upper Grand District School Board at the March 27, 2018 Board Meeting the approved the following: 1. The Upper Grand District School Board approve the determination of 10 trustee positions for the board, the same number who were elected to the board at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 regular elections. 2. The Status Quo (Option A) trustee distribution, as outlined in Appendix “C” of the report entitled Trustee Determination and Distribution for the Upper Grand District School Board for 2018 dated March 8, 2018, be approved and submitted, no later than April 3, 2018 to the Ministry of Education, the election clerk for all municipalities within the board’s jurisdiction; and the secretary of every other board that is wholly or partially within the board’s area of jurisdiction. 3. The Board approve that no areas in the jurisdiction of the Upper Grand District School Board be designated as low population areas. Please find attached “Option A” of the report entitled Trustee Determination and Distribution for the Upper Grand District School Board for 2018 and a copy of our data calculations by which the Trustee Determination and Distribution results were reached and by which any lead municipality was identified . A copy of the complete Trustee Determination and Distribution Report that was considered by the Board is available on the Board website (https://www.ugdsb.ca/board/board-meetings/board-and-committee-meetings-2017-2018/ ).
