WOW! CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER TERESA ELDER JOINS C-SPAN BOARD OF DIRECTORS
(February 21, 2018) – C-SPAN announced today that WideOpenWest, Inc. (WOW!) CEO Teresa Elder is joining the C-SPAN Board of Directors, succeeding WOW!'s recently retired CEO Steven Cochran.
Elder was named CEO of WOW! in December 2017 and joined the company with more than 20 years of experience working in the telecom, wireless and cable industries. She has led companies in the U.S. and Europe including Vodafone Ireland, Clearwire (now Sprint), AT&T Broadband and MediaOne (now Comcast), and AirTouch (now Verizon). Elder also serves on various other boards including as a trustee for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, chair of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Management Board and member of the board of advisors for the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics.
Cochran, who Elder will replace, joined the C-SPAN Board of Directors in 2017. He replaced Former WOW! CEO Colleen Abdoulah who served on the C-SPAN Board from 2008 through 2016.

C-SPAN's 15-member board of directors is comprised of top executives of cable operating companies. The C-SPAN Board, which has had 145 members since 1979, establishes C-SPAN policy and oversees its financial operations, but is not involved in editorial decision making.
