Alfred University reaches agreement with beverage provider PepsiCo
ALFRED, NY (Jan. 21, 2021)—PepsiCo was introduced last week as the new official beverage provider for Alfred University’s campus dining operations and vending locations. The agreement will provide the campus community the with PepsiCo’s broad portfolio of beverage options which will give students, staff, and faculty a wide variety of choices.“Our partnership with PepsiCo provides significant benefits to the dining program at Alfred University,” said John Dietrich, director of Dining Services for the University. “Students will be pleased by the variety of beverages available to them. We also know that students have been looking for healthier beverage choices and PepsiCo was able to provide us several outstanding options.”
Ade Dining Hall serves PepsiCo’s full fountain beverage portfolio including bubly sparkling water, Dole Juice, assorted Lipton teas, Tropicana Lemonade and Gatorade, as well as carbonated soft drinks such as Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Mountain Dew. The Powell Café features two Spire fountain units. The PepsiCo Spire system is a state of-the- art digital fountain experience that lets consumers personalize their fountain beverage by adding shots of flavor into your favorite beverage
Starbucks ready to drink bottled beverages are available for purchase at the “We Proudly Serve Starbucks” at Powell. This includes favorites like Frappuccino, Cold Brew, Nitro, and DoubleShot Espresso in various flavors. Be sure to visit the retail locations across campus for a chance to enter to win exciting raffle prizes provided by PepsiCo, including Amazon Kindles and a Fitbit.
PepsiCo has also provided 27 vending machines, operated by AVI Foodsystems, the University’s food services provider. The vending machines were installed at various locations across campus last week and stocked by AVI personnel. PepsiCo’s vending machine beverage options include Pepsi, Gatorade, Pure Leaf iced tea, Mountain Dew, Starbucks ready-to-drink coffee, LifeWtr, Aquafina, bubly and more. The vending machines will soon accept a number of cashless payment methods, including AU Dining Dollars, major branded credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and Android Pay.
