Introduction At times, the misfit between the traditional education system and the potentialities and needs of today’s world are brought home to us more sharply. Most of the time, the traditional education system is based on the teacher-student model: a certain number of students gather in a certain place, facing a teacher who ‘delivers’ his or her knowledge to the students. As long as there were no other channels through which knowledge could arrive, this model remained the only one valid. Today, however, numerous other channels, such as the new technologies for instance, can result in knowledge creation and input. The teacher’s role remains crucial but its nature is changing. The teacher is now required to help structure the knowledge as well as disseminate it and this new role is at least as, and perhaps more, important.1 This means that decision-makers in education need to be prepared for major changes: in the coming century we are likely to see the development of a real ‘school without walls’ […]. As Michel Serres indicated in a government report published in 1992 2, “we need to imagine an entirely new way of reorganising how society gains access to knowledge in the next few decades.” 3 By presenting EPITECH’s teaching system as an example, we have an opportunity to contribute to this debate.

    COMMUNIQUÉ DE PRESSE Mardi 10 septembre 2019 SOFTWAY MEDICAL, LEADER DANS L’ÉDITION DE SOLUTIONS E-SANTÉ, ET EPITECH, L’ÉCOLE DE RÉFÉRENCE EN INFORMATIQUE, ANNONCENT EN AVANT-PREMIÈRE LEUR PARTENARIAT Softway Medical, l’éditeur, intégrateur, hébergeur de données de santé, et Epitech, le réseau d’écoles informatique aux 13 campus français, s’unissent pour favoriser le recrutement de jeunes cadres dans le domaine de la e-santé. UN PARTENARIAT MOTIVÉ PAR LE CONTEXTE ACTUEL D’après l’enquête Besoins en main d’œuvre (BMO) réalisée en 2018 par Pôle Emploi, 80 000 emplois sont à pourvoir dans le secteur du numérique et ne trouvent pas de preneurs sur le territoire. En effet, le marché de l’emploi dans l’informatique est sous tension. Dans la Région Sud, le nombre deformations dans ce domaine stagne, alors qu’il augmente de 20% dans la capitale et autres grandes villes. La conséquence sur les entreprises est importante puisque ces dernières ont du mal à recruter en région. Toutefois, la Région Sud bénéficie d’un large vivier d’emplois qualifiés qui est encore non exploité par les jeunes. C’est dans ce contexte que les deux groupes d’envergure nationale, Epitech (école membre du Groupe IONIS) et Softway Medical ont tissé cette alliance. Celle-ci a un ancrage conséquent dans la Région Sud puisqu’elle concerne le campus Epitech Marseille et Softway Medical dont le siège est basé à Meyreuil, près d’Aix- en-Provence. DES ENJEUX COMMUNS POUR ALLER AU-DELÀ DE LA RELATION ÉCOLE-EMPLOYEUR La Grande Ecole du Numérique annonce qu’il y a 200 000 emplois à pourvoir dans le numérique d’ici 2022.
