DESCRIPTION:.

The work to be performed consists of signal system rehabilitation, track reconfiguration and construction of enclosures for the 34th Street Interlocking, on the 6th Avenue Line (IND), In the Borough of Manhattan. The work to be performed is the replacement of the existing 34th Street interlocking with a new modern Solid State Interlocking (SSI). The signal system shall be Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) ready. The work also includes construction of relay room and other rooms, signal, architectural, structural, track, traction power, mechanical, utility, electrical, environmental, communication and SONET/ATM work, fiber optic work, and removal work.

The contract duration is 53 months.
