New ITS Guide Jan 2019

• A mobile version of the ITS #eGuide is available with immediate effect. • The new layout makes it easier than ever to obtain easily understandable, well-illustrated explanations of key document types from the ITS archive interactively, now on your smartphone or tablet too. • The e-Guide uses specific examples to elucidate all the many abbreviations and symbols. It also provides background information about where the various documents were drawn up and for what purpose. • The range of documents covered by the e-Guide will continue to grow. Currently the tool offers explanations of personal documents from the #concentrationcamps, for example prisoner registration cards, sick bay cards or post control cards. • In 2019, descriptions of Allied documents on the care and maintenance of survivors (DPs) and records on forced labor will follow. • The documents tell stories about victims of #NaziPersecution. Often they’re the last remaining testimonies to these people’s murder. That’s why it’s especially important to provide access to the knowledge necessary for understanding them. https://eguide.its-arolsen.org/en/
