The city is divided into three parts, and still maintains traditions that were lost to the Occidental world decades ago, like the artisan hide tanning. SECURITY: Do not pronounce the word ¨moro¨or anything similar to it. It is offensive to Moroccans. Substitute it with the word ¨marroqui¨ Do not walk alone at night, travel by groups of 4, minimum It is not seen as proper for females to be drinking alcohol at bars during the nights because they can be confused as ¨prostitutes Always ask for permission before taking a picture of someone Never say ¨when we return to Spain¨or ¨where do we go next¨, in general do not give information about this program.

ALWAYS ASK before every purchase how much it will cost, especially in restaurants and bars. Do not allow them to bring you food that you have not asked for without knowing how much it will cost For traveling, we recommend using PETIT TAXIS, fits 3 people and it has a taximetro. If the driver does not start the taximetro, remind them to start it. The average cost for a street should not be higher than 1€

BARGAINING: It is obligated and necessary to divide by 5 the original price to begin this game. Always let the final price be said by the vendor not yourself. Do not be surprised if they ask for a stupendous amount in the stores, they do this to provoke, but great deals can be achieved through good negotiation.

TIPS are not included and a 10% should be paid. 0.50€ for each suitcase At restaurants, alcohol beverages are incredibly expensive, we recommend you drink mineral water or soft drinks. For those who smoke and drink we suggest you buy tobacco and alcohol in the duty free store of the boat, it is much cheaper than in Morocco.

WHAT TO WEAR You will benefit from bringing light clothes during the day and some sort of jacket or sweater for the nights, especially for the interior and the south if visiting during september and march. It is recommended to bring a sunhat and sunscreen.

HEALTH Vaccinations: It is not required to have any vaccinations or treatment for travelers coming from Some precautions: Avoid the water from the rivers. We highly suggest drinking water from bottled water. Medical assistance for foreigners is not free.

FORMS OF PAYMENT Credit cards are generally accepted at grand hotels, boutiques, and restaurants and sometimes in souks. Cash can be withdrawn from banks with credit card or with checks, or through direct exchange offices.

ELECTRICITY In new buildings 220V (Sometimes 110V in the older buildings). Plug ins are like the European type.

TAXIS The most economic ones are the small taxis that fit a maximum of 3 people. They are recognizable because of their vibrant colors. They are always the same in every city: red in Casablanca, blue in Rabat...They only circuit through the city. For example they will not drive to far away airports. They can also carry other passengers that are heading to the same destination. Discuss the price before leaving if the vehicle does not have a counter. Collective or individual, the grand taxis with a maximum of 6 people will make sure to communicate the closeness or surrounding locations of destinations of the big cities. It is suggested to check the price beforehand.

WHAT TO BRING? Unfortunately, as many humanitarian organizations that are located within the country, not all their help or aid is received to their destinations, in some cases they are sold for other reasons. With any small help you can provide, surely you can make someone very happy.

In Morocco you can bring everything you do not use, surely here someone will find some use for it. Clothes especially. Pens, pencils, notebooks, backpacks, bags, antibiotics like amoxicillin which costs 20€ in Morocco but less than 5€ in Spain, pharmaceutical alcohol also has a luxurious price, aspirin, sweets, caramels, hats, and anything else that can occur to you
