Pelindungan Hukum terhadap Minuman Alkohol Tradisional Khas Indonesia Legal Protection towards Indonesian Traditional Alcoholic Beverages Cita Yustisia Serfiyani,* Iswi Hariyani,** Citi Rahmati Serfiyani*** *Fakultas Hukum Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya, Jalan Dukuh Kupang XXV/54, Surabaya, **Fakultas Hukum Universitas Jember, Jalan Kalimantan 37 Jember, ***Fakultas Hukum Universitas Airlangga, Jalan Airlangga 4-6 Surabaya Email: [email protected] Naskah diterima: 27 Juni 2020 Naskah direvisi: 28 September 2020 Naskah diterbitkan: 1 November 2020 Abstract Traditional alcoholic beverages have existed in Indonesian culture and society for various purposes. Its existence has been influenced by the concoction of alcoholic beverages which adversely affects the traditional alcoholic beverages’ image. These beverages are actually Intellectual Property Rights, IPR-based products of cultural heritage with indications of origin that have characteristics so that they cannot be compared to other countries’ alcoholic beverages, even though current regulations still regulate the opposite. This paper examines the legal protection of Indonesian traditional alcoholic beverages which are also adapted to their characteristics and the influence of Indonesian legal culture on these traditional alcoholic beverages. This research is a normative study with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approach method with South Korea and France as a comparison. Prudent and objective legal protection from the point of view of IPR for traditional alcoholic beverages is expected to develop positive aspects while still anticipating negative ones. This study concludes that Indonesian traditional alcoholic beverages that fulfill 3 unique characteristics can be protected as intangible cultural heritage (public property) or an indication of origin (belongs to local communities), although what is more appropriate now is an indication of origin so that the Government needs to adjust the regulatory design, especially at the national level, according to the indication of origin.

This revision entails (1) the correction of a num- ber of forms, and the elimination of others, on the basis of criticism by specialists in various Amerind languages; (2) the consolidation of certain Amerind subgroup etymologies (given in Greenberg 1987) into Amerind etymologies; (3) the addition of many reconstructions from different levels of Amerind, based on a comprehensive database of all known reconstructions for Amerind subfamilies; and, finally, (4) the addition of a number of new Amerind etymologies presented here for the first time. I believe the present work represents an advance over the original, but it is at the same time simply one step forward on a project that will never be finished. M. R. Administration strategists said also that the test still lies ahead on whether Hanoi will negotiate seriously on Presi- dent Nixon's eight-point peace offer. A current theory here is that North Vietnam and the Viet Cong, reportedly build- ing up for an offensive next month, will want to decide first whether South Vietnam can defend itself without U.S. troops and whether Nixon's offer has wide public support in the United States. • Issues Facing the Traditional Fish Products Industry in Southeast Asia
9th JIRCAS International Symposium 2002 - 'Value-Addition to Agricultural Products', I I 5-12/ Issues facing the traditional fish products industry in Southeast Asia Yeap Soon-Eong* and Tan Sen-Min Marine Fisheries Research Department, Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Centre, 2 Perahu Road, Singapore 718915 Abstract In Southeast Asia, traditional fish products represent a significantly large part of total fish utilization and are a major source of animal protein. As a result, these products are vitally important to food security, especially con sidering that most of them go to marginalized sectors of the population. Traditional fish products are generally of low value and intended mainly for the domestic market, although some specialty products are of high value and other products, such as fish sauce, are also now being exported. Issues facing the industry are: obtaining a reliable supply of raw materials-particularly good-quality raw materials; a lack of infrastructure; poor processing tech niques; a poor knowledge base; inadequate marketing; and a lack of food safety standards. To address these issues and improve traditional fish products, it is essential that the Southeast Asian countries promote and pre serve the production and use of these products, strengthen research and training activities, improve their market ing, and ensure that they meet food safety standards. However, in an effort to improve these products, their unique nature and their cultural and social importance should not be compromised. Introduction to the Marine Fisheries These are achieved through MFRD's three core activi ties, namely research and development, training and Research Department extension, and information services.
