HEVENINGHAM HALL CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE CONFIRMS FULL LIST OF ENTRANTS PRESS RELEASE 19th June 2018 Heveningham Hall, Suffolk, UK - Heveningham Hall Concours d’Elegance has confirmed the details of all entrants participating in this year’s event on 30th June & 1st July at the5,000 acre Georgian estate in the heart of Suffolk. A total of 54 cars will grace the dramatic Kim Wilkie-designed grass terraces to the rear of the Grade I listed Palladian mansion, including cars from the very dawn of motoring up to the modern day. The oldest car confirmed is a wonderful 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen and the youngest a stunning 2016 Aston Martin 6C Vulcan. To mark the 70th anniversary of Porsche, the organisers have confirmed a num- ber of spectacular entrants from the marque: a 1960 356B Super 90 GT; a 1968 Porsche 910; a 1969 Porsche 911 ST; a 1974 Porsche 911 RS; a 1987 Porsche 962, a 1997 Porsche 911 GT1 Evolution and a 2010 Porsche 918 Spyder. The organisers have also confirmed that there will a separate McLaren F1 Exhibi- tion on the lawn in front of the concours’ entrants. A total of seven iconic McLaren F1 Grand Prix cars courtesy of the British Formula One Team and David Clark will be on display including historic cars driven by legends of the sport including Mika Hakkinen; David Coulthard; Jenson Button; Lewis Hamilton and the late Ayrton Senna. The details of the entrants in the aviation concours located at the airfield in the Capability Brown landscape have also been announced and they include a wonderful 1944 Spitfire Mk XI, a 1942 Texan AT6-D and a 1952 Morane-Saulnier 315 to name but a few. -

PRESS RELEASE // FEBRUARY 2018 MCLAREN – RICHARD MILLE RETURN ON THE 55 YEARS OF EXISTENCE OF A F1 CHAMPION Luxury Swiss watch maker Richard Mille return on the history of one of the greatest Formula One racing team : McLaren. Today second most successful team in the championship history, the british company founded by New Zealander Bruce McLaren has set mutiple records during its life. Return on 55 years of success. A HIGH SPEED RISE Although he initially intended to a sports career, his heart goes to an other famous sport in his home country : rugby. After an injury he gets interested with great success towards automotive sports. He mades his competitives debuts in 1958 and quickly establish himself as an amazing motorcycle driver. One year later, aged 22 years and 80 days, Bruce McLaren becomes the youngest ever racer in the history of Formula One to win a race : the United States Grand Prix. McLaren M2B THE EARLY STAGES OF MCLAREN In 1963, while still involved in the Cooper racing team, the champion founds the Bruce McLaren Motor Racing. It’s only in 1966, that he creates his own racing team and design his first F1 with the young engineer Robin Herb. Named M2 B, this vehicle will be presented this year at Rétromobile. McLaren competitive debuts aren’t successful nonetheless the ranking of the team at the end of the season is saved thanks to motorisations upgrades and a victory with a Ford GT40 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. After a great 1967 season, McLaren compete with a brand new car seen as the finest-looking Bruce McLaren M8D single-seater : the M7A. -

Giornalista di straordinarie a- perture e intuizioni, “inventore” delle corse con le classiche ha riportato alla vita e in pista quelle automobili che invece sarebbero rimaste nei garage e destinate a quei, per me tristanzuoli, rally mangia-bevi. No, Luca no non poteva sop- portare una simile tristezza e allora, dopo una serie di visite in Inghilterra a fiutare l’ambiente torna, mette in piedi la Scu- deria del Portello e raduna attorno a sé un’elite di piloti dilet- tanti e di personalità del mondo dell’industria, della finanza e della cultura tutte perfettamente amalgamate nella Scuderia dalla comune passione e dalla capacità di guidare forte e bene. E di gente che andava molto, ma tanto, sin dagl’inizi ce n’era parecchia. Citare qualcuno significa fare un torto a tutti gli altri… Ricordo benissimo come avvenne la mia coopta- zione nella Scuderia del Portello. Luca, tra le altre cose, ave- va inventato il mitico Auto Capital, io dirigevo il Corriere dei Piccoli. Tutti e due, lui e io, ci si vedeva quasi ogni giorno in via Scarsellini, sede della Casa editrice, e spesso, dati i miei natali giornalistici nel mondo dell’auto a Quattroruote, che si faceva? Si parlava di donne e motori. E cominciò la mia vita in comune con Luca in senso giornalistico e corsaiolo. Gran- dori portò sulle piste di tutta Europa, le stesse che vedevano i Grand Prix o che erano state il teatro delle classiche di du- rata, il gruppetto di patiti che si confrontarono così coi driver inglesi, olandesi, tedeschi, svizzeri nel Campionato Europeo delle auto storiche. -

The bespoke arm of McLaren Automotive has prepared models from the Sports Series, Super Series and Ultimate Series, the three newly-announced model tiers.
