II. - INVENTORY DIGITAL GRAPHIC PRINT COLLECTION GÖTTWEIG The following pages catalog the digitized material and image assets, which are an outcome of a cooperative project for the digital development and indexing of the Graphic Print Collection Göttweig, between the Göttweig Abbey and the Danube University in 2002-2012. Alongside the teaching and research activities at the Center for Image Science, the cooperation also comprised the digitizing, digital indexing and creation of an Image Database with the most art historically significant assets of the Göttweig Abbey. The Center for Image Science and the Danube University Krems thank the Göttweig Abbey for a fruitful cooperation. III. III. - ONLINE DATABASE: www.GSSG.at The online publication of the Graphic Print Collection of the Göttweig Abbey has been realized by the Center of Image Science of the Danube University Krems. The project comprises both the conception and design, and the technical realization of the publication with free software. The online database operates on the metadata which is managed with the image-management system "ImageFinder/DocuMax" and provides access to the holdings via the internet. During the concept phase special attention was paid to the retrieval and presentation options. With the Graphic Print Collection of the Göttweig Abbey Online, specialist as well an the general public have been given a scientific tool that allows de-localized collaborative exploration. Besides access to the entire online collection, the classic exhibitions of Prof. emeritus Gregor Lechner, have been virtually developed and expanded into online exhibitions. Since 2006, some of the most fascinating works of the collection are gathered together in “Virtual Exhibitions” that are digitally and informatively prepared by the Center for Image Science to be viewed via the internet. Exhibitions include, to date, Venetian Vedute - Cityscapes, The Maria Exhibition “Under your Protection,” “The Theory of Architecture”, “BaroQue Image Vanity” and the BaroQue Thesis Prints.

Until now, scholars have ignored the conceptual and formal concerns of the S. Martina, dismissing it as derivative of Stefano Maderno’s Santa Cecilia (1600). This thesis provides the first thorough examination of Menghini’s S. Martina, arguing that the sculpture is critically linked to the Post-Tridentine interest in the relics of early Christian martyrs.

  • Pittura Giapponese Apparen- Tati Ai Rotoli Degli Inferni (Jigokuzo-Shi)
G Gabbiani, Anton Domenico (Firenze 1652-1722).
