The Smurfs Anthology #4 - Peyo - Bok () | Bokus Produced by Hanna-Barbera Productionsit is based on the Belgian comic series by the same namecreated by Belgian cartoonist Peyo who also served as story supervisor of this adaptation and aired for episodes [1] with a total of stories, excluding three cliffhanger episodes and seven specials. InStuart R. Ross, an American media and entertainment entrepreneur who saw the Smurfs while traveling in Belgium, entered into an agreement with Editions Dupuis and Peyoacquiring North American and other rights to the characters, whose original name was "les Schtroumpfs". Silverman thought that a series based on the Smurfs might make a good addition to his Saturday-morning lineup. The series became a major success for the network [4] one of the few hits to emerge from the Fred Silverman era and one of the most successful and longest running Saturday morning cartoons in television history, spawning seven spin-off television specials on an almost yearly basis. Bythe show was in its ninth season and had reached the The Smurfs Anthology: No. 4 threshold, an extreme rarity when most cartoons were gone after two seasons and 22 episodes it also far exceeded the typical episode run of a first-run syndicated show of the era. In an effort to come up with The Smurfs Anthology: No. 4 ideas to keep the show fresh, NBC changed the format of the show, removing some of the Smurfs from the forest and omitting the Smurf Village. These changes were adopted to a lost-in-time format similar to The Time Tunnel. The show continued through the end of the season, airing the last original episode 2 December on NBC. The Smurfs was noted for its frequent use of classical music as background music or themes for particular events. Notable works found in The Smurfs include: [6] [7]. A half-hour version for syndication was broadcast under the title Smurfs' Adventures this is the version usually seen on Cartoon Network and Boomerang. Although each season had its own unique opening song during the original broadcast, syndicated airings usually use a shortened version of the season 4 opening. Family Entertainment released the complete first season on DVD in a two-volume set in Warner Home Video later released a series of three single-disc releases of The Smurfs ineach containing five episodes from the second season. • Brussels Airport, 22 June 2017 the Smurfs Wish Passengers at Brussels Airport a Nice Journey! Since This Afternoon, Papa Smurf
Brussels Airport, 22 June 2017 The Smurfs wish passengers at Brussels Airport a nice journey! Since this afternoon, Papa Smurf, Smurfette and Baby Smurf have arrived at Brussels Airport to wave off the passengers who leave from Gates B. In the relaxation and shopping area leading to Pier B, a statue has been unveiled of the blue Belgian comic book heroes, the final touch to a thorough renovation of this area where the Belgian tastes, identity and icons immerse passengers for one last time in the culture of our country. The statue of the Smurfs at Brussels Airport is inspired by album 14, “The Aerosmurf”, which was published in 1990 and in which the Smurfs appropriately fly a red aeroplane. That same aeroplane formed the basis for the creative minds to conjure up an airport scene. Papa Smurf is the marshaller who indicates where and how the aeroplane should park. Smurfette and Baby Smurf oversee things. “I am very pleased to welcome the Smurfs to Brussels Airport. For decades they have been an internationally famous icon of our country and are, just like the Tintin rocket in Connector, the perfect representatives of Belgian creativity and our rich comic book culture. We have therefore given the Smurfs a place of honour in the completely renovated area where passengers can enjoy the Belgian culture and cuisine”, says Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company. The Smurfs, the small blue comic book heroes created by Peyo (pen name of Pierre Culliford), first saw the light of day in 1958. In their nearly 60-year existence they succeeded in acquiring world fame.
