annual report | 2018 our VISION We will be the first choice for those seeking residential and health ▲▲▲ care services and for employees committed to serving them. We will continue to contribute to the health, happiness, and well-being of seniors through innovation, expansion of quality care, and support for our members and the greater community. letter from THE PRESIDENT & CHAIRMAN TIMOTHY A. JOHNSON JAMES R. TOPPING Greetings! It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2018 Frasier Annual Report. In the pages that follow, you’ll learn about the highlights of the past year and find data, pictures and stories that will give you more insight. The unifying theme, Onward, is apparent throughout this report and our 2018 year. Mary Church Terrell stated, “And so, lifting as we climb, onward and upward we go, struggling and striving, and hoping that the buds and blossoms of our desires will burst into glorious fruition ere long.” This quote resonates with our many accomplishments of the year – all while undergoing construction of our massive Master Plan expansion. Many construction projects were completed in 2018. The construction of The Prairies, our new 98-apartment independent living building, The Canyons Center at Frasier, the Wellness Center expansion, and the building of and refurbishment of dining venues, continued at a fast pace throughout 2018. To complement these projects and have cohesiveness throughout campus, our very engaged resident focus group led by Frasier staff developed a naming strategy/theme of “Colorado geographic features” for our buildings and service areas. Frasier also remains financially strong with positive cash flow, an extraordinary large amount of days cash on hand, high occupancies, and a wait list of over 400. Additionally, residents, staff and the community gave over $447,000 to Frasier philanthropy to enhance our robust programs for residents and staff. We look onward to the year ahead as we continue to advance Frasier’s mission of helping seniors enjoy independent and fulfilling lives. Sincerely, Timothy A. Johnson James R. We will welcome new residents in early 2020. The new building will be WELL Building Standard- certified, with views of the Flatirons, and all 98 apartments will have private covered balconies. Connecting The Prairies to The Peaks (our existing independent living building) is The Bridge; and adjacent to that will be North Fork, a new dining venue. These will open in early 2020 as well.
