Sinto-me privilegiada pelo ensino de qualidade a que tenho tido acesso desde a graduação. viii RESUMO O presente trabalho é dedicado a analisar o curso das negociações coletivas das montadoras de veículos instaladas no Estado de Goiás. A discussão foi margeada por um debate acerca das negociações coletivas de trabalho no Brasil, sob a influência das principais mudanças da legislação trabalhista, bem como pelo movimento de expansão e ―desconcentração‖ territorial da indústria automobilística no País. Fundamentalmente, foram interpretados os acordos coletivos de trabalho celebrados entre a Mitsubishi Motors Corporation do Brasil (MMC) e o Sindicato dos Trabalhadores nas Indústrias Metalúrgicas Mecânicas e Material Elétrico de Catalão (SIMECAT), e as convenções coletivas firmadas entre o Sindicato dos Trabalhadores nas Indústrias Metalúrgicas Mecânicas e Material Elétrico de Anápolis (SindMetana) e o Sindicato das Indústrias Metalúrgicas Mecânicas e Material Elétrico de Anápolis (Simea), as quais regulam as relações de trabalho na Hyunday Motors Brasil. Toda a análise dos instrumentos coletivos que compõem os dados desta pesquisa foi feita com base nos esquemas de classificação de cláusulas coletivas, segundo o escopo temático proposto por Horn (2003). A metodologia do autor permite, ainda, que as cláusulas classificadas possam ser comparadas à legislação brasileira vigente. A partir da interpretação dos dados, foi possível elucidar questões pertinentes, a saber: como se construiu a representação sindical nos municípios em questão e seu impacto sobre as negociações; quais as modificações no escopo temático dos instrumentos coletivos ao longo dos anos; se os instrumentos foram capazes de criar cláusulas adicionais em relação à vasta legislação que regula as relações de emprego no Brasil; e quais as principais semelhanças e distinções entre os instrumentos coletivos nessas unidades produtivas. O que se notou é que a experiência negocial do sindicalista de Anápolis, bem como os anos de atuação do sindicato, não se traduziram em um maior padrão de regulação das relações de trabalho. Em contrapartida, O SIMECAT, liderado por sindicalistas jovens e inexperientes, mostrou-se, desde a sua criação, fortemente vinculado aos interesses dos trabalhadores da MMC. Dessa maneira, averiguou-se uma maior regulação da relação de trabalho para os operários da automotiva de Catalão em relação aos funcionários da Hyundai. ix ABSTRACT This work aims to analyze the course of collective negotiations of car manufacturers installed in the State of Goiás. The discussion was framed by a broad debate of the collective labor negotiations in Brazil, under the influence of major changes in the labor legislation as well as the movement of expansion and "devolution" of the area of automotive industry in Brazil. Fundamentally, we interpreted the collective labor agreements signed between Mitsubishi Motors Corporation of Brazil (MMC) and the Sindicato dos Trabalhadores nas Indústrias Metalúrgicas Mecânicas e Material Elétrico de Catalão (SIMECAT), and also collective work agreements between the Sindicato dos Trabalhadores nas Indústrias Metalúrgicas Mecânicas e Material Elétrico de Anápolis (SindMetana) and the Sindicato das Indústrias Metalúrgicas Mecânicas e Material Elétrico de Anápolis (Simea), which regulate labor relations in Hyundai Motors Brazil. The analysis of the collective instruments that make up the data body of this research was based on classification schemes of collective clauses according to the thematic scope proposed by Horn (2003). The author‘s methodology also enables that the classified clauses be compared to the current Brazilian legislation. From the data interpretation it was possible to elucidate relevant issues, namely: how the union representation in the above-mentioned towns was built and its impact on the negotiations; which have been the changes in the thematic scope of collective instruments over the years; if the instruments were able to create additional provisions in relation to the extensive legislation governing employment relations in Brazil; and which are the main similarities and differences between the collective instruments in these production units. It was possible to notice that the negotiating experience of the Anápolis‘s unions, as well as the unions‘ ammount of years of work, did not translate into a higher standard of regulation of the employment relationship. By contrast, the SIMECAT unionists led by young and inexperienced members has proved, since its establishment, to be tightly linked to the interests of the MMC employees.
