Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis dan gaya bahasa yang dominan dalam lirik lagu pada album Bedtime Stories Karya Jay Chou.Adapun teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori stilistika oleh Nurgiantoro. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah lirik lagu pada album Bedtime Stories Karya Jay Chou. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah album Bedtime Stories Karya Jay Chou. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat 56 data yang menunjukkan (1) jenis gaya bahasa yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu pada album Bedtime Stories Karya Jay Chou berjumlah 13 jenis, Bǐyù 比喻, Bǐnǐ 比拟, niān lián拈连, Kuāzhāng 夸张, Fǎngcí仿词, Wǎnqū婉曲, duì'ǒu 对偶, Duìbǐ对比, Fǎnfù 反复, Shèwèn 设问, Fǎnwèn 反问 , Tònggǎn痛感, Jǐngcè 警策. (2) gaya bahasa yang dominan dalam lirik lagu pada album Bedtime Stories Karya Jay Chou yaitu jenis Bǐyù 比喻 dengan jumlah 32%. This research aimed to describe types and most dominantrhetoricof song lyrics on Bedtime Stories album by Jay Chou. The theory used in this research is stylistics theory by Nurgiantoro. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source of this research was Bedtime Storiessong album by Jay Chou. The data of this research were song lyrics Bedtime Stories album by Jay Chou. The results showed that there were 56 data. Based on (1) the types of rhetoric on song lyrics on Bedtime Stories album by Jay Chou there were 13 types; Bǐyù 比喻, Bǐnǐ 比拟, niān lián 拈连, Kuāzhāng 夸张, Fǎngcí 仿词, Wǎnqū 婉曲, duì'ǒu 对偶, Duìbǐ 对比, Fǎnfù 反复, Shèwèn 设问, Fǎnwèn 反问 , Tònggǎn 痛感, Jǐngcè 警策.(2) the most dominantrhetoricof song lyrics on Bedtime Stories album by Jay ChouwasBǐyù 比喻 with the amount of 32%.     Volume 4, Nomor 1, April 2016 ISSN: 2338-039007 pp. 42-56 Lagu Separuh Aku karya Band Noah: Sebuah Tinjauan Karya Musik Ringan Titis Setyono Adi Nugroho Alumni Jurusan Musik, FSP ISI Yogyakrta; email: [email protected] Abstract The Separuh Aku song which was written by the Noah band and released in September 2012 has briefly gained its popularity in public. The success is not merely caused by its song strength but also by its interrelationship with various supporting elements. Through the analytical descriptive-qualitative method, this study is aimed at uncovering the secret of song strength and other supporting aspects behind its brief gained popularity. Among several theoretical concepts that were utilized in discussing this research, the topic was first of all taken from Adorno’s light musik classification, industrial domination of pop musik culture and its consumption. The other two concepts were from the Frith’s non-poetical song lyric and Burton’s power of media. Based on those concepts several research outputs have resulted. Pop musik that can be classified as the light musik is supported by simple lyric writing that could easily be accepted by all public layers, especially workers class who worked under company’s timeline pressure and targets. In addition, the power of lyric meaning which conditioned with the listener’s psychological situation has emerged a certain musikal expression. It is happened, for example, through a tune as an effort on what is experienced by the audience. The expression has taken part in song dissemination effort to other consumers' ears. At the other hand, the improvement of song popularity can also be formed through media announcement concerning song as well as other related aspects.

    BAB I PENDAHULUAN A. Latar Belakang Penelitian Bahasa mempunyai peranan penting untuk berkomunikasi, baik komunikasi verbal maupun non verbal. Bahasa manusia mengkomunikasikan pengalaman, pikiran, perasaan, dan hal-hal lain yang diketahui kepada orang lain. Dengan bahasa pula manusia mewariskan budaya kepada generasi selanjutnya. Melalui bahasa pula manusia menerima informasi dari sesamanya secara sempurna. Tanpa bahasa komunikasi antar individu satu dengan individu yang lainnya tidak dapat berjalan dengan sempurna. Bahasa adalah alat komunikasi antar anggota masyarakat dan lambang bunyi suara yang dihasilkan oleh alat ucap manusia, Keraf (2004:19). Bahasa terdiri atas bahasa lisan dan tulisan. Bahasa lisan dipergunakan sehari-hari untuk berkomunikasi dengan sesamanya di masyarakat. Bahasa tulis seperti misalnya terdapat pada wacana tulis. Wacana tulis artinya wacana yang disampaikan dengan bahasa tulis atau melalui media tulis. Untuk dapat menerima dan memahami wacana tulis, maka si penerima atau si pembaca harus membacanya. Keraf (2004:133) mengungkapkan bahwa gaya bahasa adalah dapat diketahui sebagai cara mengungkapkan pikiran melalui bahasa secara khas yang melibatkan jiwa dan kepribadian penulis (pemakai bahasa). Gaya bahasa berguna untuk menimbulkan keindahan dalam karya sastra atau dalam berbicara. Setiap pengarang memiliki cara sendiri dalam memilih dan menggunakan gaya bahasa. Gaya bahasa sering juga disebut dengan majas. Lirik lagu merupakan ekspresi seseorang dari dalam hatinya tentang suatu hal yang sedang dipikirkannya, dilihatnya, maupun yang dialaminya. Lirik lagu memiliki kekhususan tersendiri dibandingkan dengan sajak karena penuangan ide lewat lirik lagu diperkuat pula dengan melodi dan jenis irama yang disesuaikan dengan lirik lagunya. 1 1 Lirik lagu adalah karya sastra (puisi) yang berisi curahan perasaan pribadi atau bisa disebut juga dengan susunan kata dalam sebuah nyanyian yang memiliki irama tertentu.
