В статье рассмотрены 23 вида пядениц , из которых 10 видов (Macaria signaria Hbn., Tha- lera fimbrialis Scop., Idaea biselata Hufn., Timandra griseata W. Peters., Xanthorhoe designata Hufn., Plemyria rubiginata Den. et Schiff., Perizoma alchemillata L., Eupithecia subfuscata Haw., E. succen- turiata L., Pterapherapteryx sexalata Retz.) являются новыми для территории Якутии, а 13 – малоиз- вестными, по которым получены новые материалы. Указания для Якутии Rhopalognophos glauci- naria Hbn. и Idaea serpentata Hufn., вероятно, являются ошибочными. По каждому виду приводят- ся сведения об исследованном материале, распространении и кормовых растениях гусениц. Ключевые слова. Lepidoptera, Geometridae, новые находки, редкие виды, Якутия. Abstract. Twenty three species of geometrid moths are discussed in the paper. Zusätzlich wird dabei noch einmal die wichtigste Lite- ratur zu dieser Schmetterlingsfamilie auf Zypern angegeben. Die Nomenklatur richtet sich nach HAUSMANN (2001, 204), MIRONOV (2003) und SCOBLE et al. (1999). Abstract: After finishing the fourth and last part of the geometrid moths fauna of Cyprus in this edition of the Atalanta, the authors finally present an up-to-date checklist of all 111 known species occuring on Cyprus. A current bibliography completes this checklist. Nomenclature agrees to HAUSMANN (2001, 204), MIRONOV (2003) and SCOBLE et al. (1999). Einleitung: Mit dem nun letzten Teil der Faunenarbeiten zu den zypriotischen Geometriden ergänzten die Autoren ein vollständiges Nachschlagewerk, das allen faunistisch und taxono- misch arbeitenden Lepidopterologen ein wertvolles Hilfsmittel und ein Leitfaden sein soll. Alle Teile wurden in den letzten Jahren in der Atalanta publiziert und eine aktualisierte Check- liste nebst relevanter Literatur wird nun abschließend präsentiert. -
Coleoptera and Lepidoptera (Insecta) Diversity in the Central Part of Sredna Gora Mountains (Bulgaria)

Despite the proximity of Sredna Gora Mountains to Sofia, the insect assemblages of this region are poorly studied. As a result of two studies carried out as a part of an Environmental Impact Assessment in the Natura 2000 Protected Areas: Sredna Gora and Popintsi, a rich diversity of insects was discovered, with 107 saproxylic and epigeobiont Coleoptera species and 355 Lepidoptera species recorded. This research was conducted during a short one-season field study in the surrounding areas of the town of Panagyurishte and Oborishte Village. Special attention was paid to protected species and their conservation status. Of the Coleoptera recorded, 22 species were of conservation significance. Forty-five Lepidoptera species of conservation importance were also recorded. KEY WORDS.WORDS. Abstract Effect of different mowing regimes on butterflies and diurnal moths on road verges.— In northern and central Europe road verges offer alternative habitats for declining plant and invertebrate species of semi– natural grasslands. The quality of road verges as habitats depends on several factors, of which the mowing regime is one of the easiest to modify. In this study we compared the Lepidoptera communities on road verges that underwent three different mowing regimes regarding the timing and intensity of mowing; mowing in mid–summer, mowing in late summer, and partial mowing (a narrow strip next to the road). A total of 12,174 individuals and 107 species of Lepidoptera were recorded. The mid–summer mown verges had lower species richness and abundance of butterflies and lower species richness and diversity of diurnal moths compared to the late summer and partially mown verges. By delaying the annual mowing until late summer or promoting mosaic–like mowing regimes, such as partial mowing, the quality of road verges as habitats for butterflies and diurnal moths can be improved. Attraktive und bunte Schmetterlingsarten sind selbst in den Tropen besser erforscht als die mitteleuropäischen Blütenspanner. Unscheinbare Nachtschmetterlinge hingegen, wurden sicherlich auch früher wegen der Determinationsprobleme nicht von allen Entomologen rich tig und vollständig erfasst. Bei den Blütenspannern kommt noch erschwerend hinzu, dass selbst soeben geschlüpfte Ima gines oft schwer zu determinieren sind, von stark abgeflogenen ganz zu schweigen. Sie be reiten auch erfahrenen Spezialisten so manches Problem. Vielfach hilft dann nur noch die Ge nitalanalyse. So werden auch heute noch beim Beobachten von Nachtschmetterlingen die Blüter spanner meist vernachlässigt. In vielen Fundortkarteien und Faunenverzeichnissen feh len dann die Arten, die nicht sicher angesprochen wurden. Oder, was viel schlimmer ist, Da ten von Fehlbestimmungen wandern in die Kartei und verbleiben dort. Oftmals fehlt der dazu gehörige Falter in der Sammlung, weil er für diese nicht schön genug war. Wer will dann später beurteilen können, ob dieser Fund echt war? Bei manchem Beobachter ist es nicht Stand der Arbeitstechnik, Genitaldiagnosen durchzuführen. Auch fehlen häufig Daten von Imagines, weil bestimmte Arten nur selten oder gar nicht am Licht erscheinen, obwohl sie Vorkommen. -

More than 508 species of Macrolepidoptera (sensu SEITZ) could be recorded, among them Idaea sericeata (HÜBNER, 1813), Cinglis humifusaria EVERSMANN, 1837, Aplocera uniformata (URBAHN, 1971), Scotopteryx chenopodiata (LINNAEUS, 1758), Triphosa dubitata (LINANEUS, 1758), Abraxas grossulariata (LINNAEUS, 1758), Kemtrognophos ciscaucasica (RJABOV, 1964), Furcula danieli SCHINTLMEISTER, 1998, Eilema lurideola ([ZINCKEN], 1817), Zethes propinquus CHRISTOPH, 1885, Meganola togatulalis (HÜBNER, 1796), Meganola kolbi (DANIEL, 1935), Pseudluperina pozzii (CURÓ, 1883), Mythimna sicula scirpi (DUPONCHEL, 1836) and Noctua interposita (HÜBNER, 1790) new for the fauna of Iran. Additionally, the species of two light traps in the Elburs Mts., province Mazandaran, from the beginning of June, collected by A. PÜTZ, are listed. Scalercio & S. Greco Abstract In this paper we described the Heterocera fauna of the Calabrian black pine forest in the Sila Massif, southern Italy. We sampled 15 stands at 1270-1446 meters of altitude. One UV-Led light traps per stand was turned on once per month from May to November 2015 and from April to November 2016. We collected 18,827 individuals belonging to 367 species. Thaumetopoea pityocampa (Notodontidae) and Alcis repandata (Geometridae) were the most abundant species.
