The same might be said of Brazil’s dynamic street-art movement, which is finally gaining admittance to the circuits of ‘conventional’ contemporary art. And most of this is happening in São Paulo, a sprawling city of 20 million people that is intractable in some respects but pulsing with febrile energy – a New York City for the new century.
