HIPPOLYTE LÉON-DENIZARD RIVAIL (1803 - 1869) , Allan Kardec, nasceu em 03 de outubro de 1804 em Lyon, na França, numa família tradicional de magistrados e advogados. Foi educado na escola de Pestalozzi, reformador da metodologia pedagógica, do qual tornou seu discípulo. Como mestre escritor e professor, realizou várias obras em educação, tais como "Plano proposto para a melhoria da instrução pública", "Curso prático e teórico de aritmética (Segundo o método de Pestalozzi)", para uso dos professores primários e mães de família (1829); "Gramática Francesa Clássica”, “Programa de cursos usuais de química, física, astronomia, fisiologia”, dentre outras, as quais contribuíram para o desenvolvimento e aperfeiçoamento dos métodos pedagógicos de seu tempo. Além de ele mesmo criar em sua própria residência, cursos gratuitos, onde ensinava química, física, anatomia comparada, astronomia, etc. Ele foi, certamente, um eminente sábio erudito, com entendimento em amplas áreas do conhecimento, sendo portanto, portador de profundo senso científico que, afinal, lhe preparou para a grande obra da qual seria chamado a executar: A Codificação da Doutrina dos Espíritos.!     Ernest BOZZANO LA MÉDIUMNITÉ POLYGLOTTE xénoglossie 1 Introduction Le terme xénoglossie a été proposé par le professeur Charles Richet dans le but de distinguer nettement la médiumnité polyglotte proprement dite, dans laquelle les médiums parlent ou écrivent en des langues qu’ils ignorent totalement, et qui sont parfois inconnues même aux assistants, des cas radicalement différents (malgré une ressemblance purement apparente) de glossolalie, dans lesquels les sujets somnambuliques parlent ou écrivent en de pseudo-langues inexistantes, élaborées dans les tréfonds de leurs subconsciences : pseudo- langues qui sont quelquefois organiques, en ce sens qu’elles sont composées conformément à des règles grammaticales. Inutile de nous occuper de cette dernière catégorie de phénomènes, qui sont de nature somnambulique et hypnotique, et n’ont rien de commun avec la médiumnité polyglotte, pas plus qu’avec les manifestations métapsychiques en général, quoique des incidents de glossolalie puissent parfois s’intercaler en des manifestations supra normales authentiques. Ce qui ne doit pas nous étonner, puisque les interpolations subconscientes ne sauraient être évitées dans aucune branche de la métapsychique, tant que l’on ne connaîtra pas mieux les lois psychophysiques qui différencient les états médiumniques de ceux somnambuliques. Au point de vue théorique, la médiumnité polyglotte constitue une des manifestations métapsychiques les plus importantes, parce qu’elle élimine d’un coup toutes les hypothèses qui sont à la disposition de ceux qui se proposeraient de les expliquer sans s’écarter des pouvoirs supranormaux inhérents à la subconscience humaine. L’interprétation des faits s’impose ainsi, dans cette circonstance, d’une manière rationnellement inévitable ; c’est-à-dire que, grâce aux phénomènes de xénoglossie, on doit considérer comme démontrée l’intervention dans les expériences médiumniques d’entités spirituelles étrangères aux médiums et aux assistants.

Katalogs, welcher bereits fast 1.000 Bücher aus seinem Vorbesitz enthielt. Zu erkennen sind die Titel an dem Hinweis auf seinen Besitzerstempel. Der Okkultist und Antiquar Heinrich Tränker (alias Br. Recnartus, 1880-1956) ist vor allem für sein 1922 zusammen mit Karl Germer (1885-1962) begründetes „Collegium Pansophicum“ und die Buchreihe „Pansophia“ bekannt. Die daraus entstandene pansophische Loge, in der Tradition der Rosenkreuzer, ist von den mystischen Erfahrungen einer göttlichen oder absoluten Wirklichkeit nicht zu trennen, denn Tränker war der Meinung, dass die Geschichte der Rosenkreuzer gleichzeitig eine Geschichte der Mystik sei. Diese Sichtweise war für ihn eng verbunden mit den Grundlagen der Alchemie, der er in diesem Zusammenhang stets besondere Aufmerksamkeit schenkte.

Willin SUMMARY The purpose of this thesis is to explore musical anomalies that are allegedly paranormal in origin. From a wide range of categories available, three areas are investigated: • music and telepathy • music written by mediums professedly contacted by dead composers • music being heard where the physical source of sound is unknown and presumed to be paranormal. In the first part a method of sensory masking (referred to as ganzfeld) is used to study the possibility of the emotional or physical content of music being capable of mind transference. A further experiment presents additional results relating to the highest scoring individuals in the previous trials. No systematic evidence for the telepathic communication of music was found. In the second section a number of mediums and the music they produced are investigated to examine the truthfulness of their claims of spiritual intervention in compositions and performances. Methods of composition are investigated and the music is analysed by experts. For the final part of the thesis locations are specified where reports of anomalous music have been asserted and people claiming to have heard such music are introduced and their statements examined. Literature from a variety of data bases is considered to ascertain whether the evidence for paranormal music consists of genuine material, misconceived perceptions or fraudulent claims.
