Work Experience

. Worked as Lecturer at Shri Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Matunga in 1980-81. 2. Joined Indian Statistical Service in September, 1981 and worked as Asstt. Director in National Accounts Division of department of statistics, Ministry of Planning, Govt. of India where I was responsible for working out then G.D.P. from the . During training we were taught about Financial sector in india ,its role in development of country, role of RBI, banking rules and regulations,working of planning commission, preparation of budget and role of ministries relating to trade, commerce and industry. 3. Joined Indian Police Service in 1985 in Maharashtra cadre.Held many important posts in Maharastra police and CBI starting with Asstt. of Police in Ichalkaranji ,Kolhapur and Satara Sub-Dn, as District Superintendent of Police at Latur, Jalna, Jalgaon and Akola districts, as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Mumbai as D.C.P. Traffic, D.C.P. Airport, D.C.P. Zone-III, Zone-I,as S.P. and Dy. General of Police in Spl.Crime Division in Central Bureu of Investigation (CBI), as Dy. of Police, Training, DIGP (L&O), as Addl.Commissioner of Police (EOW), Addl.C.P.(East Region), thereafter Addl.C.P. (Crime) in Mumbai City,Commissioner of Police, Aurangbad, Spl.IGP in Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission, Spl.IGP in charge of Protection of Civil Rights, Addl.D.G.P. Planning and Coordination, Addl.DGP, (Law and Order), Addl.DGP&Jt.M.D. Maharashtra Housing Corporation and as Director General of Police & Managing Director, Maharashtra State Security Corporation. 4. During my service in spanning over 35 years, I have acquired wide knowledge and experience of police administration, maintenance of law and order, working of government, working with multiple stake holders, conflict management, man management, stress management, managing uncertainties, Finance & Budget planning, anticipating future problems , preparing for contingency, strategic planning by keeping in mind interest of all stake holders, investigation of economic offences, modus operandi of white color criminals, tools and methods of fraud detection and prevention. 5. During my tenure at C.B.I. and thereafter as Addl.C.P. EOW I dealt with economic offences, frauds and cheating in share market, banking sector, housing sector, job racketeering and many more. 6. As Addl.DGP Planning and Corordination I introduced e-tendering in the police department and prepared plans for modernization of Maharastra police force, and procured latest equipment worth thousands of crores. I had set standerds of manpower requirement for various arms of police, 7. As Addl.DGP Law and Order I was in command and control of police force of whole Maharashtra and have handled Parliamentary and State Elections, and various issues arising out of that. I was also responsible for planning of security management and crowd management in KUMBH MELA at Nasik. It was due to our planning that no untoward incidents took place during the entire period of KUMBH MELA. 8. As Addl.DGP&Jt.MD Maharashtra State Police Housing Corporation prepared a roadmap for providing houses to maximum number of policemen.

TRAINING; During my career I have attended many training courses on leadership, strategic planning, management, working of capital markets and financial institutions, cyber security, economic offences, money laundering etc at reputed institutes like IIM Ahamedabad, London school of business, RBI, National etc.

Medals: 1. Awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Services on the occasion of Republic Day 2005. 2. Awarded Presidents Police Medal for Distinguished Services on the occasion of Republic Day 2015
