Milazim Krasniqi Fakulteti i Filologjisë Universiteti i Prishtinës “Hasan Prishtina” Prishtinë OSCILIMET E IDENTITETIT SHQIPTAR NË OBJEKTIVIN E ALBANOLOGJISË DHE TË DIPLOMACISË AUSTRO-HUNGAREZE Abstract Austro-Hungarian politics towards Albanians as well as Albania can be traced by two parallels: based on Albanologic research sponsored by it and based on the documents of the Danubian Monarchy’s institutions. Although Albanologic studies and state diplomacy and politics have progressed at a different speed, the direction of their movement has been the same, a better inquiry into language, history, culture and Albanian tradition, the religious separations prioritizing Catholics, their transformation into a modeled nation for Austrian interests in facing Pan- Slavism, and a long-term geopolitical, religious and political influence on the constructed Albanian nation. Although their purposes were similar, Albanologic studies have moved at a slower pace if compared to politics and diplomacy. They have even stagnated, thus remaining merely Albanologic knowledge solidified at its pioneering phase. In its stagnated contents can been noticed not only the programmatic and theoretic limitations of those Albanologic studies, but also the initials motives of Austro-Hungarian politics and diplomacy, which formed the background of these studies and which contained expectations of additional aid in the fulfillment of the Austrian megaproject for Albania and Albanians, the heart of which was the Cultus Protectorate. In other words, a part of Filologji 25 | 9 Albanologic studies of the Austro-Hungarian province were not successful in moving beyond the frame of the Cultus Protectorate, whereas Austro-Hungarian diplomacy and politics managed to break free of this framework and were remodeled based on the changes imposed on them by the unexpected developments amidst Albanians in the years 1910-1912 as well as the entire Balkans due to the Balkan wars. Filologji 25 | 10 Politika e Austro-Hungarisë ndaj shqiptarëve e ndaj Shqipërisë mund të ndiqet paralelisht, në bazë të hulumtimeve albanologjike të studiuesve të sponsorizuar prej saj, si dhe në bazë të dokumenteve të institucioneve të Monarkisë danubiane. Megjithëse studimet albanologjike në njërën anë dhe diplomacia e politika shtetërore në tjetrën, kanë lëvizur me shpejtësi të ndryshme, drejtimin e kanë pasur të njëjtë, njohjen më të mirë të gjuhës, historisë, kulturës dhe dokeve të shqiptarëve, separimin fetar me prioritet për katolikët, transformimin e tyre në një komb të modeluar për interesat austriake në përballje me pansllavizmin dhe më tutje ndikimin afatgjatë gjeopolitik, fetar e politik mbi kombin e konstruktuar shqiptar, ndonëse qëllimet i kishin të njëjta, studimet albanologjike kanë ecur me ritëm më të ngadaltë, në krahasim me politikën dhe diplomacinë. Bile me kalimin e kohës ato janë konservuar, duke mbetur dije albanologjike të ngurtësuara në fazën e tyre pioniere. Në përmbajtjet e tyre të konservuara, mund të zbulohen sot jo vetëm kufizimet programatike dhe teorike të vetë atyre studimeve albanologjike, por edhe motivet fillestare të politikës e të diplomacisë austro-hungareze, që ishin në prapavijë të atyre studimeve dhe që prej tyre prisnin ndihmesë shtesë në përmbushjen e megaprojektit austriak për Shqipërinë dhe për shqiptarët, zemra e të cilit ishte Kultusprotektorati. Thënë thjesht, një pjesë e studimeve albanologjike të proviniencës austro-hungareze, nuk arritën të dilnin jashtë kornizës së Kultusprotektoratit. Ndërsa, diplomacia dhe politika austro-hungareze dolën jashtë asaj kornize dhe u riformuluan në kuadër të ndryshimeve që u imponuan nga zhvillimet e papritura të ngjarjeve në mesin e vetë shqiptarëve në vitet 1910-1912, po edhe të mbarë Ballkanit me luftërat ballkanike. Brenda atij megaprojekti austriak, me Kultusptotektoratin në vetë zemrën e tij, njëra nga idetë qendrore, në kuadër të angazhimit albanologjik, po edhe atij diplomatik e politik, fillimisht ishte e lidhur me idenë e hershme të Zhan Zhak Rusoit, mbi të ashtuquajturin barbarin fisnik. Financimet e veprimtarive fetare, letrare, botuese, arsimore për një kohë të gjatë, si dhe studimet e madje edhe shtegtimet e albanologëve në viset shqiptare, me theks në viset veriore, janë brenda idesë së zbulimit, njohjes, separimit dhe transformimit të shqiptarit si një loj barbari fisnik, Filologji 25 | 11 i cili ishte barbarizuar në një realitet të sundimit aziatik, ndërsa duhej të iluminohej në realitetin e ri austro-hungarez, si realitet katolik dhe eurocentrik. Brenda këtyre projektimeve është organizuar edhe filologjia/albanologjia si dije dhe po brenda kësaj skeme ideologjike është konceptuar fillimisht edhe krijimi i një shteti shqiptar. Çfarë shteti shqiptar? Shteti shqiptar në fillim ishte konceptuar si një shtet katolik, i sponsorizuar nga Austro-Hungaria. E kuptueshme është që nën zhvillimin e ngjarjeve në terren, të cilat dolën me kryengritjet e viteve 1910 e 1911 dhe pastaj me Luftën e Parë Ballkanaike, e cila i shfrytëzoi ato kryengritje si pretekst, zhvillimet në terrenin shqiptar e ballkanik dolën jashtë kontrollit. Për atë arsye, në sferën e diplomacisë dhe të politikës ka pasur ndryshim të shpejtë të projektit dhe ndryshim substancial të tij, me ç’rast Austro-Hungaria mori rolin e protektorit të një shteti multikonfesional shqiptar, jo vetëm të një Shqipërie katolike, sikundër

It is a short historic view of this genre, where the most essential points of formation of which are touched, from the first novel to the contemporary. Trying to give a glimpse of the story of the Albanian novel, besides beginning the cultivation of this genre in our literature, we have also talked about the novel written during our national and post-Renaissance period, about the novel written after the end of the Second World War, the Albanian novel, written and published in Kosovo, as well as the novel written in Albania after the collapse of the dictatorial communist system. So we tried to include almost all literary and historical periods, so that our brief panorama is more clear and comprehensive. In a word, we tried to make a genre history that is great for studying our literature, especially the Albanian novel. Introduction The formalist researcher, Mikhail Bahtin considers the novel as the only genre always being in the process of developing, and never as a completed one.”ii According to this point of view, however, we can say that even our novel is a literary structure that is taking shape differently every day.

    STUDIA ALBANICA 2016/2 Matteo MANDALÀ ISMAIL KADARE TRA LA VERITÀ DELL’ARTE E L’INGANNO DELLA REALTÀ 6.– L’inverno del “loro” scontento (1973-1975) Per ammissione di Kadare, suffragata dalla moglie Helena, tra la fine degli anni Sessanta e i primi del decennio successivo, nell’opificio dello studioso erano in lavorazione più progetti, dei quali soltanto i due di cui ci siamo appena occupati riuscirono a vedere la luce, mentre la definitiva stesura degli altri e la loro pubblicazione – vuoi a causa delle coercizioni esterne, vuoi per una deliberata scelta dello scrittore –, furono procrastinate ben oltre la seconda metà degli anni ’70, quando in rapida successione apparvero riuniti in diverse raccolte nella forma di racconti brevi1. Tra questi ultimi meritano una menzione speciale due romanzi che, pur ispirati da vicende “moscovite”, per motivi diversi hanno ricoperto un ruolo molto importante per il futuro dell’opera e, si aggiunga, della vita di Kadare. Il primo è Muzgu i perëndive të stepës, che nel 1970 (dunque prima della pubblicazione di Kronikë) era già quasi ultimato2. La sua importanza è notevole perché, rievocando dalla medesima prospettiva critica l’altra tappa fondamentale della formazione del giovane artista, si configura come il naturale continuatore di Kronikë: se in quest’ultimo veniva rivisitata l’esperienza estetica primigenia e intuitiva preadolescenziale, in Muzgu saranno discussi con sagace maturità e anche con particolare gusto surreale per il grottesco alcuni paradigmi fondamentali dell’arte narrativa modernista, quali i concetti di tempo e di spazio, il ruolo 1 Helena Kadare, Kohë e pamjaftueshme. In the second half of XIX century Albanians began their national revival. The great influence in that process had Frashëri brothers: Abdyl, Naim and Sami. They played a prominent role in Albanian national movement. Their priority was to persuade Ottomans as well as Great Powers that Albanians were a nation, which is why had a right to have an autonomy within Empire. The most important Albanian organization at that time was League of Prizrën – its leaders took part in Congress of Berlin (1878), unfortunately they heard only a lot of objections from European leaders. The culmination of Rilindja was a proclamation of Albania’s independence led by Ismail Qemali in Vlora, on 28 November 1912.     Book Review: Rescue in Albania: One Hundred Percent of Jews in Albania Rescued from Holocaust. Antonia Young, Bradford University, UK and Colgate University Rescue in Albania:one hundred percent of Jews in Albania rescued from Holocaust. By Harvey Sarner, Brunswick Press, Cathedral City, California; Co-published by the Frosina Foundation. l997. l06p. Sarner's hardback book is a revision of his pamphlet The Jews of Albania (Brunswick Press, l992. 44p. plus photographic plates) which he wrote with Joseph Jakoel and Felicita Jakoel. Both publications give a brief history of Jews in Albania and emphasize their exodus in l99l. The later work concentrates on possible reasons for the exceptional situation of Jews in Albania during the Second World War in that not a single Jew was taken to any of the Nazi concentration camps. This accounts for the extraordinary fact that by War's end there were more Jews in Albania than before, due to an influx of Jews fleeing from other countries - not only surrounding countries, Yugoslavia and Greece, but also from further afield, Germany and Austria for example (p. 32-3). Initially Albania was seen (as, more recently, it has been seen by Asians) as a loophole into other parts of Europe. However, as the Nazi stranglehold over each European country tightened it became harder for Jews in transit through Albania to find another destination. Sarner discusses the extremely tolerant situation between all religions of pre-War Albania, one which has brought frequent comment and citation of the phrase of the publicist and writer Pashko Vasa (l825-92) "The religion of Albanians is Albanianism".

The first chapters will be devoted to the elaboration of a proper theoretical background and historical framing to the concept of national epic poetry and its role in the cultivation of national thought in Europe.
