ADVANCED ACADEMIC AND CLEAR CONNECTIONS ONLINE ACADEMY PROGRAM Due to the ongoing public health COLLEGE LEVEL COURSES OFFERED AT threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Clear Creek Independent School District created CSHS Clear Connections Online Learning Program. Clear Connections is a tuition free K-12 English: online program of choice for the 2020-2021 school year. Clear Connections classes are PreAP English I, II PreAP English I, II taught by current CCISD teachers and mirror the quality of instruction occurring on the A Leadership home campus. Clear Connections secondary students follow a daily seven period AP English III Lang & Comp schedule that aligns with their home campus. Students’ schedules require AP English IV Lit & Comp English IV Dual Credit participation in real-time (synchronous) and independent (asynchronous) learning. Humanities AA Clear Connections Secondary Instructional Models include: AP Capstone Seminar • Pure Clear Connections: Daily interactions with an online collaborative setting AP Capstone Research Mathematics: led by a CCISD teacher and other Clear Connections students. PreAP Algebra I, II • Hybrid Clear Connections: Daily interactions with an online Brick and Mortar PreAP Geometry collaborative setting led by a CCISD teacher and with other students in the PreAP PreCalculus AP Calculus AB, BC course. Clear Connections students and AP World History Brick and Mortar students follow the same district guidelines. AP US History AP European History CCISD GRADING SCALE Due to the emergency closure of the Clear Creek Independent Dual Credit US History AP US Government School District resulting from the imminent public health threat of the COVID-19 Dual Credit Government pandemic, CCISD transitioned from in-person instruction to distance learning from AP Macroeconomics March 16, 2020 through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Dual Credit Economics AP Psychology Dual Credit Psychology As a result of the emergency closure, for the Spring of 2020, CCISD adopted a Pass/Fail Dual Credit Sociology grading system in which students were able to earn credit for courses taken and passed Foreign Language: PreAP Spanish I, II, III during the Spring semester; only “Pass” or “Fail” grades were recorded on academic AP Spanish IV - Language achievement records and grade points were neither awarded nor included in G.P.A. or PreAP French I, II, III class rank calculations. The grading system was adopted in order to maintain equity of AP French IV - Language AA Sign Language III, IV the overall grading system and to accurately maintain semester grades on the PreAP Chinese I – III transcript. AP Chinese IV Fine Arts: PreAP/Painting II Starting in August 2020, CCISD returned to the previously approved grading guidelines PreAP Sculpture II as established by district policy (see grading scale).

COLLEGE ADMISSIONS RANK IN CLASS Each Semester course has a designated grade point level (GPA level) CLASS OF 2020 Abilene Christian University used to determine rank in class and grade point average on a weighted 5.0 scale (EIC Academy of Art Design Alcorn State University Local). Courses designated as Level 1 courses include Advanced Academics (Adv Acad), American Musical & Dramatic Academy Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP), Advanced Placement (AP), and Gifted and Talented Arizona State University (GT) courses. Class rank shall be Ball State University based upon the grade point average.
