Central Reflection Guide is ______, Easter Jesus is and Life

Opening Discussion Throughout history, there have been many movements started by influential people. Which movement is your favorite and why (besides Jesus/)?

Does this movement follow the pattern talked about in the sermon/TED talk video?

Discuss. Why is Easter the hinge to our faith, the foundation, the most important thing about Christianity?

Why do you think that the movement, the message died, when Jesus died?

Read John 11:1-27. How are Mary and feeling when Jesus doesn’t show up? What happens when Jesus finally does show up?

Have you ever had the experience where you’ve felt that if Jesus had been there, [it] would’ve worked out, been better? Have you ever felt like God let you down?

Jesus asks Martha if she believes that Jesus is resurrection and life. What are the implications of Jesus being resurrection? What changes in us when we believe Jesus is resurrection and life?

Read John 20. The women were never expecting a resurrection. Are you expecting resurrection. Do you believe Jesus when he says he is resurrection and life?

The is the only explanation of why we are here.

Paul says that what you think about Jesus really is the most important thing about you. “The one thing tomorrow won't allow is indecision. Easter forces us to a place of choosing. Either Christ is for real and it shapes my whole life, or he's the worst con artist of all time. Easter has removed the lukewarm option all together.”

Closing. Who is Jesus to you? How do you fill in the blank in Jesus is ______?

Close in for one another.
