It’s Easter-ween! 8th Annual Classic Car Show morphs into Easter affair at the National Museum of Funeral History in March

Houston, Texas (February 11, 2016) – Halloween in March? After excessive rain and several rounds of inclement weather throughout the greater Houston area last October, a number of events around the city were canceled and/or rescheduled, including the 8th Annual Halloween Classic Car Show at the National Museum of Funeral History. With the “make up date” of March 12, 2016 so close to Easter – the traditionally Halloween- themed affair is now an “Easter-Ween” event, rewinding to everyone’s favorite spooky with a twist, including an Easter for kids wearing Halloween , all while helping to support local charities.

Featuring more than 150 cars from classic to contemporary. Families will enjoy the atmosphere from 10 am – 3 pm on , March 12 with a contest at 12 pm (people can dress for Halloween just like in October’s shows), “The Dead DJ’s,” silent auction and more. And – for those who want to enter their car in the show, on-site registration is available on a first come first serve basis for only $30 on event day from 8 am – 11 am. Remember – anyone can enter! Consider “dressing up” your car for Halloween and entering it into the contest for the best decorated car.

Blast from the Past Street Machines of Texas will be judging the car show from 10 am to 2 pm in a variety of categories and issuing a plethora of awards at 3 pm, including several new awards added just this year like the Zombie Attack Awards, a Youth Class and Best Club Participation award. Proceeds from the car show go to Star of Hope, Morning Glory Ranch, The Shriner’s Burn Hospital, Houston Food Bank and The USO. Admission is $3 for individuals or $5 for couples and families. Admission to the museum is separate and is not included. Free parking is available throughout the area.
